Penanda tanganan Perjanjian Kerja Sama Pindad dan TNI AU (photo: Pindad)Wakil Direktur Utama PT Pindad, Syaifuddin, Direktur Teknologi dan Pengembangan (Dirtekbang) PT Pindad, Sigit Santosa dan Kepala Dinas Penelitian dan Pengembangan TNI Angkatan Udara (Kadislitbangau) Marsekal Pertama TNI Tjatur Pudji Handojo menandatangani perjanjian kerja sama (PKS) dan perjanjian kerahasiaan (NDA) antara PT Pindad dan TNI AU pada Rabu, 27 Maret 2024 berlokasi di PT Pindad. Perjanjian Kerja Sama yang ditandatangani berkaitan dengan penelitian dan pengembangan material Double Base Propellant untuk Roket tahap III. Kegiatan ini juga dihadiri oleh jajaran Eselon 1 PT Pindad serta jajaran Dislitbangau.
Dalam sambutannya, Dirtekbang PT Pindad, Sigit Santosa menyampaikan terima kasih dan apresiasi atas kerja sama dengan Dislitbangau yang telah terjalin hingga saat ini. “Terima kasih atas dukungan dari tim ahli Dislitbangau hingga support dari peralatan yang luar biasa lengkap pak. Sangat lengkap menurut kami. Semoga riset ini dapat berjalan dengan sangat baik dan kita bisa menciptakan kemandirian terhadap Propellant. Karena Propellant ini kebutuhannya sangat tinggi pak, terutama dengan berbagai konflik internasional saat ini.” Jelas Sigit Santosa.
Kadislitbangau, Marsma TNI Tjatur Pudji Handojo menyambut baik kerja sama antara PT Pindad dengan dislitbangau. “Maksud dan tujuan kami melaksanakan penandatanganan kerja sama dan juga NDA antara TNI AU dengan PT Pindad dan ini dalam rangka litbang material Double Base Propellant untuk Roket tahap III. Kami juga menyampaikan bahwa Dislitbangau adalah ujung tombak untuk kegiatan penelitian dan pengembangan TNI AU. Dan saya melihat bahwa kerja sama dengan PT Pindad bukanlah sesuatu yang baru karena telah mencapai tahap III saat ini. Dengan adanya kerja sama strategis ini diharapkan PT Pindad dapat memajukan pertahanan negara.” Jelas Marsma TNI Tjatur Pudji Handojo.
Kegiatan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sesi diskusi dan ramah tamah. Kegiatan penandatanganan kerja sama antara PT Pindad dengan Dislitbangau diakhiri dengan kunjungan ke fasilitas produksi PT Pindad.

Alasan mendasar untuk mengurangi tipe pesawat tersebut adalah karena HAF ingin memiliki pesawat tempur yang canggih namun efisien dari sisi pemeliharaan dan pengoperasiannya.
“Kami memiliki berbagai jenis pesawat, F-4, Mirage 2000-5, F-16 Block 30, F-16 Block 50, F-16 Block 52, F-16 Viper dan Rafale. Kita tidak bisa terus seperti ini. KING OF CRASH =
To date, apparently, five Hawk 108 and three Hawk 208 crashed during training for the period from 1996 until now.
From 1968 to 1997, the crashes of Nuri helicopters claimed 73 lives in all.
From 1970 to 1995, four De Havilland Caribou aircraft crashes killed at least 17 servicemen. Then a Super Puma helicopter crashed in January 1994, killing four crew members.
It was the 15th crash involving aircraft of the Royal Malaysian Air Force since 1990 - five involved the Pilatus PC-7 basic training aircraft; four were A-4PTM Skyhawk fighter bombers. The other incidents included the Alouette III helicopter, the Cessna 402 aircraft, a Nuri helicopter, and Hercules C-130 transport aircraft.
In fact, it was remarked publicly that we have lost more aircraft and pilots through accidents than through war combat.
