Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) Admiral Indroko Sastrowiryono and Singapore’s Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Lui Tuck Yew jointly officiated at the transfer of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) ship, decommissioned RSS JUPITER, to the TNI-AL in Tanjong Priok today.
The RSS JUPITER is designed to provide support for diving operations, and underwater search and salvage missions. It was decommissioned in September last year, having served the RSN since August 1991.
The transfer of the decommissioned RSS JUPITER symbolises the excellent ties between the RSN and the TNI-AL. Both navies enjoy a close and longstanding relationship built upon mutual understanding and co-operation
