The general director of Rosoboronexport Anatoly Isaykin said the company will soon sign a contract for the supply to Indonesia of the new party of infantry fighting vehicles BMP-3F.
"Indonesia buys our BMP-3F, and soon we will continue this theme," - said the RIA Novosti Isaykin, referring to the new contracts.
Prior to that, he told me that he intends to carry out during the exhibition LIMA-2015 in Malaysia in talks with a number of defense ministers of the ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, the head of the military department.
Currently, BMP-3F successfully operated in the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Indonesia. The first batch of 17 vehicles for Indonesia was delivered under the agreement on a billion dollars state loan from Russia, signed in September 2007, during a visit Russian President Vladimir Putin to Jakarta.
BMP-3F first arrived in Indonesia in November 2010, and in May 2013 Jakarta signed a new contract to buy 37 machines total value of $ 114 million for the Marine Corps.
In January 2014 the second batch of machines was transferred to the military. In November last year, director of Rosoboronexport for Special Assignments Nicholas Dimidyuk noted that the company plans to put Indonesia about 50 BMP-3F.
