DRB-HICOM Defense Technologies (DEFTECH) milik negara Malaysia dan produsen kendaraan lapis baja Turki FNSS telah meluncurkan prototipe kendaraan tempur lapis baja ACV-300 'Adnan' yang ditingkatkan di pameran Defense Services Asia (DSA) 2024 yang diadakan di Kuala Lumpur mulai tanggal 6 hingga 9 Mei.
Mohd Nizam Saedon, kepala departemen teknik di DEFTECH, mengatakan kepada Janes pada tanggal 6 Mei bahwa kendaraan tersebut, yang telah beroperasi sejak awal tahun 2000-an, sedang ditingkatkan untuk memperpanjang umur operasionalnya.

Peningkatan lainnya termasuk penambahan pengintai laser dan pencitraan termal di turret, sistem peringatan laser, dan sistem kesadaran situasional 360°, tambah Mohd.
Dia mengatakan Angkatan Darat Malaysia telah “berhasil” menguji kendaraan yang ditingkatkan tersebut, dan DEFTECH sedang menunggu perintah dari dinas tersebut.
“Hampir 200 kendaraan Adnan akan di-upgrade, dan diperlukan waktu beberapa tahun untuk meningkatkan semua kendaraan ini,” tambah Mohd.
Dia mengatakan kendaraan yang ditingkatkan ini dapat diintegrasikan dengan pesawat vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) SR-10 milik DEFTECH serta untuk pengawasan udara, pemantauan, inspeksi, pemetaan, dan sebagainya.
Menurut spesifikasi DEFTECH, VTOL memiliki panjang 1,65 m, lebar 2,20 m, dan tinggi 0,35 m. Berat lepas landas maksimum (MTOW) pesawat adalah 9 kg.
