Kementerian Pertahanan menargetkan anggaran sebesar 200,92 miliar baht pada tahun fiskal 2025 dan akan mencari tambahan anggaran sebesar 4,89 miliar baht.
Tiga cabang militer juga mencari dana untuk “secret operations/operasi rahasia”, yaitu 290,05 juta baht untuk Royal Thai Army, 30 juta baht untuk Royal Thai Air Force, dan 62,6 juta baht untuk Royal Thai Navy.
Sementara itu, Sekretariat Tetap Angkatan Bersenjata dan Pertahanan Kerajaan Thailand masing-masing meminta dana sebesar 54 juta baht dan 32,3 juta baht untuk confidential operations/operasi rahasia.
Sementara itu, dari 200,92 miliar baht yang diminta, 96,60 miliar baht akan dialokasikan untuk Angkatan Darat. Alokasi ini akan mencakup 2,7 miliar baht untuk pengadaan senjata dan 2,9 miliar baht untuk perbaikan.
Angkatan Laut, sementara itu, akan menerima 41,59 miliar baht, yang akan mencakup 88 juta baht untuk tahap berikutnya dalam proyek pengadaan kapal selam. Angkatan Laut sedang mencari tambahan 98 juta baht untuk operasi angkatan lautnya dan 760 juta baht untuk membeli armada pesawat. Dibutuhkan juga 150 juta baht untuk sistem radar dan 600 juta baht untuk helikopter berukuran sedang sebagai pengangkut personel.
Angkatan Laut sedang mencari tambahan 69 juta baht untuk memasang sistem kontrol mekanis di kapal induk, HTMS Chakri Naruebet.
Angkatan Udara meminta dana sebesar 36,94 miliar baht, dimana 3,9 miliar baht akan digunakan untuk membeli armada jet tempur baru.
Mereka juga mencari dana sebesar 1,2 miliar baht untuk pembelian pesawat pelatihan pilot dan 846 juta baht untuk meningkatkan armada pesawat C-130H.

While the Malaysian Navy continues to work on the choice of the anti-ship missile system of LMS, Naval News has learned that the Atmaca missile, developed by Roketsan, has emerged as a leading contender. If this trajectory remains unchanged, it is likely that the Atmaca missile, akin to the one installed on the TCG KINALIADA, the Turkish Navy’s 4th Island-class corvette, will be mounted on the LMS.

Three of the ships will be built in Turkiye under the LOA according to the release though it did not identify the shipyards to build them. Defence Minister DS Khaled Nordin was present at the LOA handing over ceremony so it is likely the ministry will issue – a less detailed press release on it. Do note that even if the LOA is issued, they could still be finalising the technical details of the ships.

"Setelah diteliti TLDM merumuskan kapal yang dimaksudkan itu... ia tidak bersesuaian. Ia adalah berdasarkan perkara seperti isu commonality peralatan selain kos perolehan yang tidak menguntungkan kepada kerajaan, lebih-lebih lagi jika kita lakukan perolehan terhadap kapal HMAS Anzac.
"Proses perolehan itu dijangka mengambil masa yang lama, sehingga 2027 dan pada tahun itu kita sudah dibekalkan dengan dua kapal LCS. Kapal itu akan diserah kepada TLDM dan mula beroperasi dalam tahun 2027,” katanya.
Selain itu, Mohamed Khaled berkata, kerajaan baru-baru ini juga telah membuat perolehan bagi mendapatkan tiga kapal misi pesisir (LMS) dari Turkiye yang dijangka siap menjelang akhir 2027.
"Jadi lima kapal akan mula berkhidmat dengan TLDM dan oleh kerana hampir keseluruhan kapal HMAS Anzac ini menggunakan peralatan yang berbeza, maka kita membuat keputusan ia tidak sesuai dan bukan untuk kepentingan kerajaan serta rakyat Malaysia,” katanya.

Di tempat yang sama, Komandan Pushidrosal Laksamana Madya Budi Purwanto mengatakan pembangunan dua unit kapal survei baru untuk Pushidrosal itu ditargetkan rampung pada akhir 2025 atau sekitar awal 2026 mendatang. Ia mengaku, saat ini progres pembangunan platform kapal di Batam cukup cepat.
“Akhir 2025 atau awal 2026, nggak jauh (waktu penyelesaian pembangunan kapal), ini karena progresnya sudah cukup berkembang pesat di Batam,” kata Budi.
Nantinya, dua kapal survei hidros baru tersebut memiliki panjang sekitar 105 meter dan digadang-gadang menjadi yang tercanggih, melampaui KRI Spica-934, KRI Rigel-933, dan KRI Dewa Kembar-932. Hal ini dikarenakan bakal dilengkapi sejumlah peralatan canggih dari Jerman.
“Konsep pembangunan kapalnya (dua unit kapal survei baru) di PT Palindo Marine, Batam. Nantinya, pengisian peralatannya di Jerman. Itu akan jadi kapal canggih (Pushidrosal)” ujar Budi.
