LAKSAMANA EXERCISE (LAKSEX) merupakan latihan antara kapal kelas Laksamana yang dilaksanakan secara berkala untuk memastikan kesiagaan kapal dan warganya sentiasa berada pada tahap tertinggi. LAKSEX Siri 2/24 melibatkan KD LAKSAMANA HANG NADIM, KD LAKSAMANA TUN ABDUL JAMIL, KD LAKSAMANA TAN PUSMAH, KD JEBAT sebagai platform tambahan dan pesawat FENNEC dari Skuadron 502 sebagai aset udara. Panglima Armada Barat bersama semua Pegawai Memerintah Kapal Armada Barat dan Pegawai Kanan Markas Pemerintahan Armada Barat turut menyaksikan LAKSEX siri kali ini apabila semuanya berada di atas KD JEBAT untuk pelayaran team building.

2024 LMS STILL BE FINALISING THE TECHNICAL DETAILS OF THE SHIPS
Three of the ships will be built in Turkiye under the LOA according to the release though it did not identify the shipyards to build them. Defence Minister DS Khaled Nordin was present at the LOA handing over ceremony so it is likely the ministry will issue – a less detailed press release on it. Do note that even if the LOA is issued, they could still be finalising the technical details of the ships.

READINESS 58.6% : The Chief of Navy, Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Ayob revealed the readiness level of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) fleet has not met the target set.
This was stated during his New Year Message 2024 and One-Year Leadership Message. Currently, the RMN readiness stands at 58.6%, whereas the expected goal is 75%.
