MANILA – Philippine Air Force (PAF) FA-50PH jet fighter pilots on Tuesday honed their aerial defense capabilities by holding "basic fighter maneuvers" (BFM) over the skies of west Zambales with their counterparts from the French Air and Space Force (FASF).
In a statement, PAF acting public affairs office chief Col. Rifiel Santiago said the two Rafale jet fighters of the FASF joined the drills.
"Both Air Forces demonstrated their tactical maneuvering skills and techniques in a simulated combat scenario, showcasing their proficiency in air-to-air combat," he said.
On Monday, two FA-50PH jets of the PAF while two Rafale jets, an A330M transport aircraft, and an A400M Airbus military transport aircraft from the FASF held a joint flight over west Zambales to demonstrate the Rafale jets’ air-to-air refueling capabilities.
This joint aerial exercise is a key component of the French military’s Projection of a Heavy Air Package in Southeast Asia (PEGASE) 2024, Santiago said.
The PEGASE 2024 aims to strengthen military partnerships, enhance operational readiness, and ensure regional stability through collaborative training and strategic deployments.

Anyhow Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari told Parliament that the supplementary budget was necessary as the allocation for 2022 was lower some RM401 million from the 2021 one. The supplementary funds will pay for utility bills – electricity, internet, and sewage – (RM115 million); Maritime Security Operations (RM139 million) and Air Defence Operations (RM49 million).
Adly attributed the increase for maritime security operations due to higher fuel costs, new assets namely the four LMS and three Maritime Operations Helicopters and overseas exercises. He did not name the overseas exercises, but we know that RMN ships took part in exercises and other engagements in Japan, Hawaii, and Australia.

Indonesia has marked the entry of its third final batch of 18 Dassault Rafale multirole fighter jets. The first and second batches of fighters entered the force in September 2022 and August 2023, respectively.
With the last delivery officially approved by Jakarta, Dassault has now completed the three-phase order totalling 42 jets, making the country the largest buyer of French arms in southeast Asia.

KITA ADALAH GARUDA NUSANTARA. Malon selalu beranggapan bahwa mereka adalah pemimpin ras melayu (brown race). Untuk itu, mereka membuat ilusi tentang alam melayu (Malay Archipelago) atau mereka sebut juga NUSANTARA. Mereka kesel banget waktu mereka dengar ibu kota baru kita dinamai NUSANTARA. Padahal kata NUSANTARA (NUSWANTOTO) itu sendiri sudah dikenal sejak jaman Kerajaan Kertanegara. Disamping itu, temuan prasasti yang menunjukkan bukti adanya kerajaan "Melayu" jauh lebih banyak ditemui di Indonesia. Di jiran tetangga cuma bisa ditemui 1 (satu) prasasti, yaitu Prasasti Trengganu. So siapa sesungguhnya penguasa NUSANTARA?
