BATURAJA, SUMSEL, tniad.mil.id – Kepala Staf Angkatan Darat (Kasad), Jenderal TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, M.Sc., mendampingi Panglima TNI, Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto, S.E., M.M., dalam peninjauan penerjunan Container Delivery System (CDS) dan Airborne oleh pasukan militer Jepang. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di Pusat Latihan Tempur (Puslatpur) Baturaja, Sumatera Selatan, pada Kamis (29/8/2024).
Penerjunan CDS dan Airborne tersebut merupakan bagian dari Latihan Gabungan Bersama (Latgabma) Super Garuda Shield 2024 yang diselenggarakan dari 26 Agustus hingga 6 September 2024. Latgabma ini melibatkan 11 negara, yaitu Indonesia, Amerika Serikat, Jepang, Inggris, Australia, Prancis, Kanada, Singapura, Thailand, Korea Selatan, dan Selandia Baru, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan interoperabilitas dan kerja sama antar Angkatan Bersenjata.
Dalam latihan ini, penerjunan CDS dan Airborne menjadi elemen penting yang menguji kesiapan dan kemampuan prajurit dalam operasi terjun payung yang kompleks dan strategis. Kasad bersama Panglima TNI dan Kepala Staf tiga matra menyaksikan langsung pelaksanaan penerjunan, guna memastikan seluruh prosedur berjalan aman dan sesuai standar.
Penerjunan CDS menggunakan peralatan canggih untuk memastikan efektivitas dan keamanan selama proses terjun, sementara penerjunan Airborne menekankan pada kecepatan dan ketepatan dalam menempatkan pasukan di medan operasi. Latihan ini juga sekaligus menegaskan kesiapan dan profesionalisme TNI dalam pertempuran, serta meningkatkan kemampuan koordinasi dengan negara-negara sahabat.
Latgabma Super Garuda Shield 2024 diharapkan tidak hanya memperkuat hubungan diplomatik antarnegara peserta, tetapi juga meningkatkan kemampuan operasional masing-masing Angkatan Bersenjata dalam menghadapi tantangan global.

Malaysia Plan, 2021-2025 (Twelfth Plan), the Government maintained the statutory debt limit at 65% of GDP under the Loan (Local) (Statutory Ceiling for Borrowing) and Government Funding (Statutory Ceiling of Moneys Received) Order 2022 [P.U. (A) 399/2022] which came into effect on 1 January 2023. As at end-August 2023, the Federal Government statutory debt which comprises MGS, MGII and MITB recorded 59.9% of GDP, below the stipulated debt ceiling.

The results reveal a robust positive association between Public Debt and Defence Spending, substantiated by the significant coefficient of 0.7601 (p < 0.01). This suggests that an increase in Public Debt corresponds to a substantial rise in Defence Spending. Additionally, the study underscores the influence of Gross Domestic Saving and Exchange Rate on Defence Spending, with coefficients of 1.5996 (p < 0.01) and 0.4703 (p < 0.05), respectively. These findings contribute valuable insights into the fiscal dynamics of Malaysia's defence budget, shedding light on the interplay between Public Debt and strategic resource allocation. The incorporation of control variables enhances the robustness of the analysis, providing a nuanced understanding of the factors shaping defence spending in the Malaysian context.
