Australia-Japan Partnership Soars for Talisman Sabre

For the second time in Australia, the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) has conducted a live-fire demonstration of Type 12 surface-to-ship Missile (SSM) off the Australian east coast. 

The live-fire surface engagement activity at the Beecroft Weapons Range, Jervis Bay, as part of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025, involved a JGSDF truck-mounted Coastal Defence Battery firing three Type 12 SSM. 

All successfully struck an unmanned floating maritime target dozens of nautical miles away within in the Eastern Australian Exercise Area. 

The missile launch serials builds on the success of a similar live-fire surface engagement activities conducted during Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023, with the JGSDF returning to Beecroft Weapons Range two years later to complete more complex missions, with more munitions, and with new capabilities that include the Network Electronic Warfare System. 

For the first time, members of the Australian Defence Force integrated into the Japanese targeting system to ensure two missiles, fired from a single launcher and following separate flight paths, achieved a simultaneous time on target out at sea.

Adding complexity to the training serials with partner nations such as Australia has been of true value for the JGSDF elements participating in Exercise Talisman Sabre, says Colonel Youhei Ito, Commander 7th SSM, 2nd Artillery Brigade, JGSDF. 

“Our unit participated in Talisman Sabre with two main objectives: first, our regiment conducted a live-fire [of the Type 12 SSM] for the first time, and we were able to use the exercise to enhance our knowledge and experience,” Colonel Ito said. 

“Secondly, by completing our mission through co-operation with many people from the ADF, especially the Royal Australian Navy and units at HMAS Albatross, we were able to learn a great deal.” 

For ADF Chief of Joint Operations, Vice-Admiral Justin Jones, the JGSDF live-fire surface engagement activity at Beecroft Weapons Range was an impressive demonstration of Australia’s military partnership with Japan. 

“Close to home for me has been our partnership with the Japanese Joint Operations Command … It reflects the esteem in which the ADF and our Joint Operations Command is held in Japan, and it is why we are seeing a contribution like we have seen today,” Vice-Admiral Jones explained. 

“Having 120 members of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force here at Beecroft in support of this firing is a reflection of that.” 

Now in its 11th iteration, Exercise Talisman Sabre provides an opportunity to exercise combined capabilities with partner nations to conduct high-end, multi-domain warfare, to build and affirm military-to-military ties and interoperability, and to strengthen strategic partnerships. 

For Colonel Ito and his soldiers of the 7th SSM, training like this comes at a critical time. 

“Looking at the current state of the world, we can see the security environment is both complex and serious. It is not possible for us or any country to establish peace and stability unilaterally,” he said. 

“In line with this, [exercises like Talisman Sabre] will become more important in how we co-operate with allies and partners to achieve our mission.” 

More than 40,000 military personnel from 19 nations are participating in Exercise Talisman Sabre across Australia and Papua New Guinea. The exercise runs from July 13 to August 4.

On July 14, 2015, the Commander of the Rajamanu Task Force, Naresuan Force, presided over the closing ceremony of the 4th Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Combat Drone Operator Training Course to enhance knowledge and skills, develop and expand results, and strengthen the capability to defend the country and provide security to our brothers and sisters along the border.

The trained personnel are capable of using drones for reconnaissance, surveillance, target designation, target identification, requesting fire support, checking bullet drop locations, and quickly adjusting fire, as well as accurately controlling UAVs to drop bombs.

This training helps to tangibly improve the capabilities of the personnel. The trained personnel have the capability to carry out tactical missions and attack important targets (HVT) effectively. They are an important combat power multiplier for the unit, can reduce risks, prevent losses, and result in the most efficient missions for the nation, religion, the king, and the people.

TNI Angkatan Udara dan Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia (PPI) Curug menjajaki kerja sama pemanfaatan Full Flight Simulator Boeing 737-800NG sebagai bagian dari upaya bersama meningkatkan kompetensi dan interoperabilitas penerbangan nasional, Senin (21/7/2025).

Penilaian 38 pesawat F/A-18 Legacy Hornet September ini

SUBANG JAYA – Kepimpinan Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dijangka membuat penilaian terhadap 38 pesawat F/A-18 Legacy Hornet di Kuwait pada September ini.

Panglima TUDM, Jeneral Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris berkata, pihaknya telah mendapat kelulusan daripada Amerika Syarikat sebagai pengeluar pesawat berkenaan.

“Setelah pihak negara pengeluar memberikan kelulusan untuk perolehan, TUDM kini boleh melihat dokumen dan rekod berkaitan pesawat dan kami telah mempersiapakan pasukan untuk membuat penilaian di sana.

“Mereka dijangka berlepas ke Kuwait September ini untuk menilai kesesuaian pesawat ini untuk dibeli, proses penilaian dijangka mengambil masa antara tiga mingga minggu,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian dalam sidang akhbar selepas menyampai Perintah Ulung Panglima Tentera Udara ke-21 di Pangkalan Udara Subang, di sini, hari ini

Muhamad Norazlan berkata, penilaian berkenaan adalah penting bagi melihat aspek kesesuai pesawat berkenaan terutamanya melibatkan isu penyelenggaraan.

“Seprti sedia maklum pesawat ini merupakan pesawat terpakai. Kita perlu melihat dari pelbagai aspek seperti penyelenggaraan di masa hadapan.

“Tiada guna jika kita mampu beli dalam jumlah yang banyak tetapi tidak mampu untuk menyelenggara pesawat ini untuk operasi kita,” ujarnya.

Katanya, jangkaan penyerahan pesawat berkenaan bergantung kepada Tentera Udara Kuwait menerima pesawat F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.

“Saya difahamkan kalau dapat empat pesawat dapat diserahkan kepada Kuwait kita akan terima empat buah pesawat, jika mereka (Kuwait) terima lapan pesawat kita (TUDM) juga akan terima lapan,” jelasnya.

Fincantieri Ajukan Proposal Konversi Kapal Induk Giuseppe Garibaldi Menjadi Kapal Induk Helikopter untuk Indonesia

Perusahaan pembuat kapal Italia, Fincantieri, telah mengajukan proposal terperinci untuk mengonversi kapal induk ITS Giuseppe Garibaldi menjadi kapal serbu helikopter dan kendaraan udara nirawak (UAV) (helicopter and unmanned aerial vehicle assault ship) yang dapat memenuhi persyaratan Angkatan Laut Indonesia.

Proposal tersebut, yang mencakup empat bidang kerja utama, dipaparkan dalam serangkaian presentasi selama dua hari, dari tanggal 15 hingga 16 Juli, di Jakarta, sebagaimana dikonfirmasi oleh sumber yang dekat dengan masalah tersebut kepada Janes.

Daftar hadir yang juga diberikan kepada Janes menunjukkan bahwa mantan komandan kapal induk, Marco Guerriero, dan mantan kepala teknisi, Nicola Tria, juga merupakan bagian dari delegasi yang dikirim oleh Fincantieri selama dua hari tersebut.

Delegasi ini mencakup tujuh perwakilan senior lainnya dari perusahaan pembuat kapal, termasuk Kepala Proyek Refit, Corrado Canepa.

Giuseppe Garibaldi adalah kapal induk 180 m yang diresmikan oleh Angkatan Laut Italia pada tahun 1985 dan ditempatkan sebagai cadangan oleh Angkatan Laut Italia pada bulan Oktober 2024.

Selama bertugas dengan Angkatan Laut Italia, kapal ini mengangkut pesawat AV-8B Harrier II untuk lepas landas pendek dan pendaratan vertikal (STOVL) serta berbagai helikopter angkatan laut.

Empat Fokus

Dalam presentasi yang disampaikan di Jakarta, Fincantieri mengusulkan empat area fokus terkait pekerjaan perbaikan yang akan dilakukan pada Giuseppe Garibaldi jika Indonesia setuju untuk mengakuisisinya. Salinan presentasi tersebut telah diberikan kepada Janes.

Two Scorpène Evolved Submarines Contract for Indonesia Entered Into Force

The contract for the delivery of two Scorpène® Evolved submarines to be built in, by and for Indonesia, within PT PAL Indonsia shipyard and through a transfer of technology from Naval Group, has entered into force.

Since the signature of the contract, together with the Kementerian Pertahanan RI, the Naval Group and PT PAL consortium has been anticipating its implementation by undertaking design activities, long lead item purchases and planification process activities.

In the coming weeks, PT PAL welders will be welcomed in France to follow specific on-job training and around 50 experts will be based in Indonesia to train more than 400 Indonesian engineers in submarine construction.

“This step is a high commitment and trust of the Indonesian government in the capability of local engineers to advancing defence technology, especially submarine technology. The government’s commitment in realizing the independence of the defence industry is also supported by the provision of Government Capital (PMN) to fully support the whole local production of submarine at PT PAL. TNI AU dan PTDI Teken Perjanjian Penggunaan Awak Pesawat

Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara (TNI AU) dan PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) menandatangani Perjanjian Kerja Sama (PKS) tentang penggunaan awak pesawat TNI AU dalam mendukung kegiatan operasional PTDI. Penandatanganan berlangsung di Gedung Paripurna PTDI, Bandung, Senin (21/7/2025), sebagai upaya memperkuat sinergi antara TNI AU dan industri pertahanan nasional.

Mewakili Kasau Marsekal TNI M. Tonny Harjono, S.E., M.M., Asops Kasau Marsda TNI Suliono, S.Sos., menyampaikan bahwa kolaborasi ini merupakan bagian dari tanggung jawab TNI AU dalam mendukung kemandirian industri dirgantara nasional. Ia menegaskan bahwa keterlibatan TNI AU dalam pengoperasian produk PTDI seperti CN-235, N-212, NAS-332, serta pengembangan N-219, KFX-IFX dan UAV MALE merupakan bentuk kontribusi nyata dalam penguatan industri strategis.

Perjanjian ini memberikan payung hukum atas penggunaan personel TNI AU termasuk pilot, teknisi dan juru montir udara (JMU) dalam mendukung berbagai tahapan produksi, pemeliharaan, dan uji terbang pesawat, baik jenis fixed wing, rotary wing, maupun pesawat nirawak.

Direktur Produksi PTDI Dena Hendriana menyampaikan apresiasi atas dukungan TNI AU yang selama ini telah menjadi mitra penting dalam mendukung kelancaran proses produksi dan pengujian pesawat. Asops Kasau berharap kerja sama ini dapat mendukung pencapaian target strategis industri pertahanan ke depan.

Dalam momen krusial Integrated Harbour Acceptance Test (HAT) KRI Belati-622, teknologi Tactical Data Link - Link ID karya anak bangsa dari Len sukses melakukan pertukaran data taktis secara real-time dengan KRI Halasan-630. Kedua kapal menggunakan Combat Management System (CMS) dari pabrikan berbeda, Turki dan Denmark namun dengan Link ID, kedua KRI tetap mampu berkomunikasi taktis secara lancar dan efisien.

S. Korea Hopes to Deliver First 3 of 12 Fighter Jets to PH by 2028

MANILA – South Korea is shooting to deliver the first three of the 12 FA-50 Block 70 light combat aircraft to the Philippines before the end of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s term in 2028, South Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Sang-hwa said on Tuesday.

The Philippines last month signed the USD700 million contract to acquire the 12 fighter jets from Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd. (KAI) as it seeks to enhance its air defense capabilities.

“This additional purchase, the 12 FA-50s, we believe it will make a significant improvement also for the Air Force of the Philippines,” Lee said in a luncheon meeting with the press in Makati City.

“The first batch will be delivered, we hope, before the end of the term of the Marcos administration.”

The comprehensive package includes mission equipment, integrated logistics support, and a training and logistics information system.

The Korea-made combat jet represents the latest evolution of the FA-50 platform, featuring advanced avionics, modern radar systems, and extended operational range.

Its delivery will be carried out in phases over the next five years, with full completion targeted by 2030.

South Korea and the Philippines’ defense cooperation continues to grow as the two nations elevated their partnership into a “strategic” one in October 2024.

On top of the additional 12 combat jets, the Philippines recently acquired the BRP Miguel Malvar (FFG06), built by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries.

Amid global instability, Lee assured Filipinos that South Korea would stand as a “reliable partner” of the Philippines.

“As fellow maritime nations, we share an abiding interest in maintaining peace and stability, as well as upholding a rules-based order in the South China Sea and beyond,” he said.

Menyibak Kendali Tempur Rahasia TNI

Diam-diam, TNI mengembangkan kendali tempur untuk memadukan persenjataan buatan beragam negara. Cara sejenis dipakai Pakistan menghadapi India.

Operasi TNI 2021 dan perang udara India-Pakistan 2025 menunjukkan, integrasi persenjataan jadi kunci keunggulan tempur. Bagi negara dengan pemasok senjata beragam seperti Indonesia, integrasi menjadi tantangan dan kebutuhan.

Marsekal (Purn) Hadi Tjahjanto dan Marsekal Madya (Purn) Eris Herryanto menekankan pentingnya integrasi itu. Pada masa tugas Hadi sebagai panglima, TNI beberapa kali mempratikkan Pertempuran Bertumpu Jaringan atau Network Centric Warfare (NCW). Setiap NCW mengandalkan integrasi sistem persenjataan secara terpadu dan seketika, serta pengambilan dan eksekusi keputusan cepat dan tepat.

Bagi Indonesia, menurut Hadi dan Eris, integrasi itu tidak mudah. Untuk pesawat tempur saja, Indonesia membeli dari Amerika Serikat, Rusia, Korea Selatan, dan Brasil. ”Sebentar lagi kita punya Rafale buatan Perancis,” kata Eris yang pernah menjadi Sekretaris Jenderal Kementerian Pertahanan RI (2010-2013) itu, Selasa (3/6/2025), di Jakarta.

Hadi mengatakan, produsen pesawat tempur seperti AS-Rusia tidak akan mau membuka tautan data (data link) produk mereka. Sebab, tautan itu rahasia dan kunci keunggulan teknologi produsen. Di sisi lain, tautan itu menjadi kunci integrasi kendali tempur.

Indonesia pernah membuktikan itu di masa tugas Hadi sebagai panglima. India dan Pakistan dalam pertempuran udara Kashmir 2025 juga membuktikan hal itu. Data yang ditautkan antara lain yang dikumpulkan dari prajurit di darat, jet tempur atau helikopter serbu, pesawat intai, hingga satelit dan radar.

Pakistan melakukan itu dengan menggabungkan pengintaian dari pesawat buatan Swedia, Saab Erieye, dan radar-satelit China. Data pengintaian itu memandu rudal PL-15E buatan China dari jet tempur J-10C yang juga dibuat China menyasar jet buatan Perancis, Rafale.

Pakistan, kata Eris, bisa unggul karena bisa mengintegrasikan data lintas produsen itu. Rudal ditembakkan lebih dari 100 kilometer dari sasaran. Dalam teknologi perang udara, dikenal istilah beyond visual range (BVR) atau jauh dari jangkauan penglihatan untuk serangan seperti itu.

Kembangkan sendiri

Eris juga menekankan kecilnya peluang negara produsen membuka tautan data produk pertahanan mereka. Dalam kasus RI, salah satu alasan tidak dibuka data adalah pembelian yang kecil.

”Cara yang bisa dilakukan adalah pembelian dengan sistem offset di mana sebagian atau seluruh perakitan alutsista dilakukan di negara pembeli yang disertai alih teknologi. Ada cara lain lagi, yakni dengan upgrade alutsista secara mandiri. Jika berhasil melakukan upgrade, kemampuan suatu negara akan semakin diperhitungkan,” kata Eris yang merupakan penerbang generasi pertama jet tempur F-16 TNI AU.

Keberhasilan meningkatkan kemampuan perangkat tempur akan membuat militer Indonesia semakin diperhitungkan. Sebab, TNI teruji bisa mengembangkan kemampuan secara mandiri.

Indonesia tidak diberi akses tautan data. ”Kita siasati dengan mengembangkan perangkat lunak sendiri secara diam-diam yang bisa menghubungkan komunikasi dan data real time antarberbagai alutsista kita. Ketika itu, Pusat Kendali TNI, pesawat intai TNI AU (dilengkapi kamera intai seperti yang digunakan pesawat intai P-8 Poseidon), helikopter serbu yang membawa roket, dan pasukan TNI AD di daratan beroperasi serempak dan terintegrasi,” kata Hadi.

Ia menyinggung operasi 2021 di Nduga, Papua. Pasukan TNI AD berkoordinasi dengan pesawat intai TNI AU yang dibuat Boeing, produsen AS. Koordinasi juga dilakukan dengan awak helikopter serbu dari Pusat Penerbangan TNI AD (Puspenerbad).

Pasukan TNI AD mengoperasikan pesawat nirawak sekaligus pemukul di darat. Sementara heli Puspenerbad menjadi penyerang udara. Adapun pesawat intai TNI AU menjadi sarana pemantau dan peringatan dini. Semua data itu masuk ke Pusat Komando dan Pengendalian (Puskodal) Markas Besar TNI. Hadi memantau operasi itu dari Puskodal.

Pasukan di darat memberikan koordinat sasaran ke pesawat intai dan heli serbu. ”Ketika itu data belum ditampilkan di layar radar, tetapi dalam saluran informasi dan data kordinat bisa dimunculkan dengan membentuk data link sendiri antarberbagai persenjataan yang dibuat pabrikan berbeda itu,” kata Hadi.

Sebelum operasi 2021, Hadi menginstruksikan uji coba dalam latihan di Situbondo, Jawa Timur, pada 2021. Puskodal di Mabes TNI memantau latihan serbu oleh pesawat nirawak CH4 yang terbang dari Pangkalan Udara TNI AL (Lanudal) Juanda, Sidoarjo. Sementara di Situbondo ada kapal TNI AL, tank TNI AD, dan unit-unit lain TNI.

Dalam latihan itu TNI menggunakan tautan data sendiri. Selain lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan internal, tautan data buatan sendiri mengurangi celah penyadapan oleh pihak lain.

Setelah masa jabatan Hadi selesai, TNI melakukan sejumlah operasi lain yang sejenis. Hadi optimistis, TNI semakin terasah menerapkan NCW dan siap dengan perkembangan zaman.

Tantangan serius

Atase Pertahanan Kedutaan Rusia di Jakarta Kolonel Senior Maxim Lukianov, yang ditemui dalam muhibah Angkatan Laut Rusia di Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, Selasa (3/6/2025), mengatakan, menggabungkan operasionalisasi alutsista dari berbagai pabrikan berbeda negara menjadi tantangan serius dalam operasi militer saat ini.

Dia menceritakan, berbagai negara eks Pakta Warsawa yang kemudian bergabung dengan NATO telah menggabungkan ”Semisal jet tempur Sukhoi milik mereka kini bisa diperlengkapi rudal dan bom buatan NATO,” kata Lukianov.

Ahli senjata ledak dari pabrikan Perancis, La Croix, Sergei Gehin, mengatakan, integrasi tautan data antarsenjata sangat penting dan mendasar. Sistem senjata antirudal Sylena Mark 1 dan Sylena Mark 2 yang lebih maju dari penggunaan alat chaff yang selama ini digunakan kapal perang jenis korvet, fregat, hingga kapal perusak.

Dia mengatakan, sistemnya belum terintegrasi dengan alutsista negara yang dianggap berseberangan seperti buatan Rusia dan China. Akan tetapi, negara ketiga yang menggunakan sistem buatan La Croix bisa mengembangkan sendiri koneksi data link senjata yang berasal dari Blok NATO dengan misalnya buatan China atau Rusia.

Gehin baru saja memasang salah satu sistem Sylena ke LPD milik TNI AL yang sedang dibangun di galangan kapal PT PAL, Surabaya. Kini dengan banyaknya alutsista modern di TNI AD, TNI AL, dan TNI AU dari berbagai negara berbeda, kemampuan mengintegrasikan operasionalisasi persenjataan tersebut dalam NCW menjadi kunci agar TNI diperhitungkan di Asia Tenggara yang menjadi ajang pertarungan geopolitik negara-negara besar.

TUDM dan TNI-AU Perkukuh Keselamatan Serantau Melalui Operasi Udara Bersama Patkor Malindo Siri 1/25

KUALA LUMPUR – Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dan Tentera Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU) terus memperkukuh hubungan strategik dan kebolehoperasian bersama menerusi pelaksanaan Operasi Patroli Udara Terkoordinasi Malaysia-Indonesia (PATKOR MALINDO) Siri 1/25 yang telah dilaksanakan di ruang udara Selat Melaka.

Operasi ini merupakan sebahagian daripada usaha berterusan kedua-dua negara dalam mempertingkatkan keselamatan dan kestabilan maritim di Selat Melaka yang juga merupakan antara laluan perdagangan utama.

Rondaan udara bersama ini juga dilihat sebagai simbol keutuhan kerjasama dua hala antara Malaysia dan Indonesia dalam bidang pertahanan selain bertindak sebagai satu bentuk “show of presence” dan menzahirkan komitmen kukuh kedua-dua angkatan udara dalam mempertahankan kedaulatan serta keutuhan ruang udara serta keselamatan perairan maritim masing-masing.

Dalam operasi ini, TUDM telah mengaturgerakkan tiga buah pesawat F/A-18D Hornet dari No. 18 Skuadron. Pesawat-pesawat ini diterbangkan oleh Mej Mohamad Azhar TUDM & Kapt Muhammad Zailani TUDM; Kapt Izzatikhmal Dzulhelmi TUDM & Kapt Muhammad Hazwan TUDM serta Kapt Muhammad Hafizuddin TUDM  & Mej Md Zailimi TUDM.

Manakala TNI-AU mengatur gerak dua buah pesawat F-16 dari Skuadron Udara 16, berpangkalan di LANUD Roesmin Nurjadin, Pekanbaru. Pesawat-pesawat diterbangkan oleh Lettu Pnb Galih Rakasiwi dan Lettu Pnb Rachmad Deddy.

Turut terlibat dalam operasi ini ialah CRC Kuantan sebagai Pusat Kawalan Operasi TUDM manakala JAMCC Sepang dan Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) sebagai penyelaras ruang udara Malaysia. Bagi Pusat Kawalan Operasi Indonesia pula telah dilaksanakan oleh Komando Sektor 1 (KOSEK 1) Medan.

Operasi ini merupakan hasil perancangan rapi melalui Mesyuarat Koordinasi PATKOR MALINDO Siri 1/25 yang telah diadakan pada 10 hingga 12 Jun 2025 di Melaka. Ia mencerminkan kesepaduan ketenteraan dua negara serumpun dalam menghadapi cabaran keselamatan serantau yang semakin kompleks.

Kejayaan pelaksanaan PATKOR MALINDO Siri 1/25 bukan sahaja memperlihatkan tahap kebolehoperasian tinggi kedua-dua tentera udara tetapi juga menjadi simbol kepercayaan, persefahaman dan solidariti pertahanan antara Malaysia dan Indonesia demi keamanan serantau yang berterusan.

Modern Weapons and Equipment Participated in the Training Session of A80 Parade

On the morning of July 17, nearly 16,000 officers and soldiers of the Vietnamese Army and Police units, along with many types of modern weapons, equipment and vehicles, conducted the first combined parade and marching practice, preparing for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (mission A80).

General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired the comprehensive training inspection.

Attending the inspection were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders and commanders of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security.

Many types of modern weapons and equipment participated in the parade

The comprehensive training test consisted of two parts: Performing the Party and State's rituals and ceremonies and conducting the parade. Under the direction of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, the Quyet Thang Military Flag, Army, Navy, Air Defense-Air Force, Border Guard, Coast Guard, Armored Vehicles, Communications, Engineering, Chemical... and the Police force's units performed the majestic and solemn parade.

Under the scorching July sun, nearly 16,000 officers and soldiers in 18 standing blocks and 43 walking blocks (including 7 female Army blocks, 2 female Police blocks, including: Military band, military medical officers, Vietnam peacekeepers, commandos, information soldiers, militiamen of Vietnamese ethnic groups, southern guerrillas, traffic police officers, special police) were drenched in sweat, but their spirits were high, their demeanor solemn, they performed the parade and marching movements  strongly, precisely, united with the determination to best complete the task.

The highlight of this parade is the modern weapons and equipment system of the military, service branches, and forces participating in the parade on land, in the air, and at sea... In particular, there are many types of weapons, equipment, and vehicles that are products of the Vietnamese defense industry, such as: Truong Son missile complex, XCB-01 infantry fighting vehicle, unmanned aircraft, radars.

In addition, there are many types of special vehicles and equipment of the People's Public Security force. At the joint training session of the armed forces in the parade and march on land, all vehicles, weapons, and equipment marched in harmony, demonstrating high mobility and combat readiness.

Major General Vu Hong Son, Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force, said: “To participate in the A80 mission, the Air Defense - Air Force mobilized many types of aircraft. In this joint training session, aircraft did not participate, but the forces of the Service performed the walking and standing blocks and the missile, radar, and anti-aircraft artillery systems were paraded according to the plan, demonstrating relatively good training results and preparation work.”

Major General Truong Manh Dung, Commander of Military Region 1, affirmed: “Through this joint training inspection, the Military Region Command directed units to seriously learn from experience to improve training quality; continue to educate officers and soldiers to promote a sense of responsibility, sense of organization and discipline, and high determination in performing A80 tasks.”

Worthy of the country's major event

To best complete the A80 mission, over the past time, the agencies and units of the Army and the Police have thoroughly grasped, seriously implemented, and closely organized the centralized training of the parade and marching groups. The units have selected additional comrades who are exemplary in political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, and sense of organization and discipline; meeting the standards of height, appearance, and health to participate in the parade and marching groups.

Speaking at the end of the training session, General Nguyen Tan Cuong, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, praised the sense of responsibility and training results of the officers and soldiers of the units performing the A80 mission in the past time.

In particular, General Nguyen Tan Cuong highly appreciated the training results and the determination and efforts to overcome all difficulties and hardships of the female comrades participating in the female groups of the Army, militia and police.

After more than a month of concentrated training, despite the harsh weather conditions, the groups actively practiced at high intensity to aim for the goal of "correct, even, strong, beautiful, unified", demonstrating the discipline and strength of the people's armed forces.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested: From now until the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2) there is not much time left. Therefore, the agencies of the General Staff continue to direct the drawing of experience, thoroughly overcoming the shortcomings; organize truly basic and solid training, ensuring the best results according to the requirements for each block, each force and coordinate, unify and synchronize all forces participating in the parade and march.

In particular, organize tight training sessions, preliminary rehearsals, and general rehearsals to ensure quality; at the same time, well implement the combat readiness plan, organize specific and tight coordination, ensure absolute safety for parades, marches and celebrations.

The General Department of Politics is requested to continue to direct the promotion of Party and political activities in parades and marches; focus on doing a good job of propaganda work on mass media; strengthen education to improve the sense of responsibility, determination and ensure a good cultural and spiritual life for the forces performing the tasks. The General Department of Logistics and Engineering continues to direct the assurance of good military supplies and uniforms, especially ensuring technical work for the military vehicles participating in parades and marches.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong hopes and believes that each force, each bloc, each cadre and soldier will promote the spirit of the immortal August Revolution and National Day September 2, raise awareness, take advantage of time, actively practice with the spirit of "solidarity, coordination, collective achievements" so that the parade and march are worthy of the great celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and strength of the armed forces and the entire Vietnamese nation.
