FAILURE TO ENTER KAABA AND CROWN PRINCE
The domestic brouhaha over Anwar’s visit is partly explained by how any image of a Malonnn leader in front of the Kaaba will evoke Malays’ national pride
Anwar’s failure to enter the Kaaba or meet the Saudi king and crown prince contrasts with former Malonnn leaders invited to do so

Troubling questions have surfaced regarding the reception accorded to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during his recent official visit to Saudi Arabia, after it emerged that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who does double duty as the kingdom's prime minister, did not allocate time to meet with him.

For many Malonnn Muslims, the image of their prime minister (PM) emerging from the Kaaba would convince them that he is a legitimate leader. The Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is one of the most sacred sites for Islam and Muslims. However, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s failure to enter the Kaaba — much less meet the Saudi king and crown prince — during his visit to Saudi Arabia from 22–24 March 2023 may prompt concerns about the politicisation of Islam’s most sacred sites, including how the Saudi ruling family as the self-appointed custodian of Mecca and Medina may contribute to it.

In 2024, Malonn's government debt was projected to increase to RM1.26 trillion, which is 66.3% of the country's GDP. This is close to the statutory debt limit of 65% of GDP.
Explanation
• In 2023, Malonn's government debt was 64.3% of its GDP, which was close to the statutory debt limit.
• The government's debt has been increasing due to higher spending on pandemic relief.
• The government's goal is to reduce the fiscal deficit from 4.3% of GDP in 2024 to 3% by 2026.
• The government plans to achieve this by reducing subsidies, especially for fuel, and increasing the Sales and Service Tax (SST) in 2025.
• The Ministry of Finance (MOF) projects that the government's debt growth will slow from 7.5% in 2024 to 6% in 2025.

The national debt in Malonn was forecast to continuously increase between 2024 and 2029 by in total 121.9 billion U.S. dollars (+38.56 percent). After the tenth consecutive increasing year, the national debt is estimated to reach 438.09 billion U.S. dollars and therefore a new peak in 2029. Notably, the national debt was continuously increasing over the past years.
As defined by the International Monetary Fund, the general government gross debt consists of all liabilities that require payment or payments of interest and/or principal by the debtor to the creditor at a date or dates in the future.

WHY IS INDONESIA LISTED AS ONE OF THE G-20 COUNTRIES WHILE MALON AND SINGAPORE ARE NOT
Malon and Singapore lack the size to match Indonesia’s importance on the global stage. With a combined GDP of around $818 Billion, Malon and Singapore are still quite far from Indonesia’s $1.3 Trillion GDP, which puts a gap of around $500 Billion between Indonesia with Malon and Singapore. EXCLUDING the combined GDP there would be a $900 billion gap between Indonesia with Malon and Singapore respectively.
Things get even worse when we measure the economy in GDP PPP. Indonesia stands at around $4 Trillion in PPP, whilst Malon at $1,089 Trillion and Singapore at $617 Billion. Even the combined GDP of the next three largest ASEAN nations (Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines) still couldn’t match Indonesia’s size. Within both PPP and Nominal GDP, no ASEAN nations are within the top 20 largest economies in the world, therefore none of them can qualify for the G20 membership with their GDP.

The Malonnn Armed Forces (MAF) has faced challenges in modernizing its missile capabilities due to budgetary constraints, political interference, and a lack of modern assets.
Budgetary constraints
• The 1997 Asian financial crisis limited the MAF's ability to procure new weapons.
• Malonn's defense budget is limited, which can affect the pace of acquisitions and upgrades.
Political interference
• Political leaders have been accused of interfering in procurement.
Lack of modern assets
• The MAF has aging military assets, including most of the navy's fleet and helicopters commissioned in the 1960s.
• The MAF has experienced issues with the maintenance and spare parts for its aircraft.
Other challenges the MAF has faced include: Poor planning, Personnel issues, and Critical problems with the PT-91M main battle tank.
================
The Malonnn Army (MA) has faced challenges in ensuring its combat readiness, including logistic issues, psychological readiness, and cognitive readiness.
Logistic issues
• The MA's logistic system has had delays and management issues, which have affected its readiness.
• The MA's logistic system needs to be more efficient to ensure that all assets and inventory are considered at all times.
Psychological readiness
• The MA has faced challenges in ensuring that military personnel are psychologically ready for combat.
• The MA has faced challenges in addressing the psychological impacts of chronic stress on soldiers.
Cognitive readiness
• The MA has faced challenges in ensuring that military personnel are cognitively ready for combat.
Other considerations
• The MA's military capability has been ranked low by the Lowy Institute Asia Power Index.
• The MA's defense networks have declined in ranking.
================
Malonn's military readiness is affected by a number of factors, including budget, procurement, and logistics.
Budget
• A lack of funds can affect the Malonnn Armed Forces' (MAF) combat readiness.
• The MAF's combat readiness depends on training, morale, and state-of-the-art technology.
• In 2023, the World Bank predicted that Malonn's economy would grow at 3.9%, which was lower than the earlier estimate of 4.3%. This affected the MAF's combat readiness.
Procurement
• A 2019 White Paper on Defense called for an overhaul of the procurement system.
• The procurement system should allow professionals to decide on the weapon systems they need.
• The MAF's combat readiness is affected by the lack of funds to purchase new equipment.
Logistics
• Logistics is a fundamental of combat power.
• The MAF's ability to apply and maintain combat power is limited by its logistics system.

Less we forget, BNS (from the days of PSC-ND) had more than 20+ years to learn building complex ships. Also, the shipbuilding pipeline is too limited to support a local industry, meaning there is no learning possible – BNS (and its predecessor PSC-ND) only had contract to build 12 warships in its existence. In fact, come 2030, after 30 years, if we’re lucky the shipyard would still only have built 11 ships. In contrast ST Engineering had more than 40 ships over 28 years and have confirmed 6 new ships out to 2030. Learning is one thing, tolerating “still learning” after 20 plus years is not good enough. Not recognising learning is not possible because of limited pipeline is another. Local shipyards have proven capable of building certain type of ships because of good pipeline, so good for them that they win those contract – they can learn over time to build bigger ships. Malon's combat equipment has several weaknesses, including:
• Ageing equipment: The Malonn military's equipment is aging due to small procurement budgets over the past 25 years.
• Lack of modern assets: The Malonn Armed Forces (MAF) lacks modern military assets, which puts them at risk from both internal and external threats.
• Russian-made weapons: Malon has been struggling to keep its Russian-made Su-30MKM ground-attack aircraft operational. The country is also wary of Russian-made weapons due to sanctions imposed on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
• Local production: The MAF is reluctant to use locally produced products. Local companies have produced prototypes of pistols and rifles, but none have materialized.
• Procurement system: The Malonn procurement system needs reform.
Political interference and corruption: Political interference and corruption are undermining combat readiness.

This suggests that an increase in Public Debt corresponds to a substantial rise in Defence Spending. Additionally, the study underscores the influence of Gross Domestic Saving and Exchange Rate on Defence Spending, with coefficients of 1.5996 (p < 0.01) and 0.4703 (p < 0.05), respectively. These findings contribute valuable insights into the fiscal dynamics of Malon's defence budget, shedding light on the interplay between Public Debt and strategic resource allocation.

Malonn has faced several crises, including political, financial, and economic crises:
• Political crisis
From 2020–2022, Malonn experienced a political crisis that led to the resignation of two Prime Ministers and the collapse of two coalition governments. The crisis was caused by political infighting, party switching, and the refusal of Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad to transition power to Anwar Ibrahim. The crisis ended in 2022 with a snap general election and the formation of a coalition government.
• Financial crisis
Malonn experienced a financial crisis when the country's economic fundamentals appeared strong, but the crisis came suddenly. The government's initial response was to increase interest rates and tighten fiscal policy, but this was not enough to correct the external imbalances.
• Economic crisis
Malonn's economy has faced challenges due to weak global demand and a dependence on exports. In 2020, Malonn's economy shrank by the most since the Asian crisis. In 2023, weak global demand for electronics and a decline in energy prices weighed on the economy.
• Household debt crisis
As of the end of 2023, Malonn's household debt-to-GDP ratio was 84.2%, with household debt reaching RM1.53 trillion
• Malonn has faced several rice crises in the past, including in 1973–1975, the 1980s, 1997–1998, 2008, and 2023. These crises are often caused by price hikes, which are driven by supply and demand, as well as market player behavior

Guatemala
Problem Explanation =
Racial discrimination is a deeply rooted issue that has profound consequences for individuals, communities, and the overall fabric of society. Here are key reasons why racial discrimination in a country is considered a problem:
1. Violation of Human Rights: Racial discrimination constitutes a violation of basic human rights, denying individuals the right to equal treatment, dignity, and freedom from discrimination.
2. Undermining Social Cohesion: Discrimination based on race fractures social cohesion by creating divisions and fostering a sense of inequality. This can lead to tension, mistrust, and the fragmentation of communities.
3. Impact on Mental Health: Racial discrimination has detrimental effects on the mental health of individuals who experience it, leading to stress, anxiety, depression, and other psychological consequences.
4. Economic Disparities: Racial discrimination contributes to economic disparities, limiting opportunities for marginalized racial groups in education, employment, and wealth accumulation. This perpetuates cycles of poverty and inequality.
5. Reduced Access to Opportunities: Discrimination denies individuals equal access to educational, employment, and advancement opportunities, hindering their personal and professional development.
6. Undermining Diversity and Inclusion: Discrimination hampers efforts to build diverse and inclusive societies. Embracing diversity fosters creativity, innovation, and the richness that comes from different perspectives and experiences.

This is due to a combination of factors, including low wage growth, high living costs, and easy access to credit. The debt is a threat to the financial well-being of Malonns and the stability of the economy.

PROBLEMS SHIPYARD = LCS OPV NGPVs FAILED
Local shipyards have poor record building big ships. LCS is one, Kedah is the first. The MMEA OPV is the other one. No need to be a cheerleader about it and trying to play it safe. It’s bad then it’s bad. Can blame the system, blame the politicians, blame the lack of controls, blame the people, the fact remains the local shipyards failed to deliver, and it has cost RMN. But for now, no need to be a cheerleader for local shipyards pitching to win big ships for RMN and MMEA.

Malonn's armed forces procurement faces several weaknesses, including:
1. Corruption
The defense sector is at high risk of corruption, and procurement is vulnerable to powerful interests. The Malonn Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) received the highest number of corruption complaints for procurement activities in 2013 and 2018.
2. Political influence
Decisions are often driven by vendors and against strategic interests. For example, Malonn has sometimes exchanged hardware for palm oil, which exposes the procurement process to political influence.
Weak parliamentary oversight
Parliamentary oversight is weak, and audit bodies can only provide ex-post scrutiny.
3. Limited financial scrutiny
Financial scrutiny is limited by excessive secrecy.
4. Violation of procedures
Procedures are regularly circumvented through political influence. For example, the purchase of military helicopters in 2015 violated the Ministry of Finance's procedures

Offshore fabricator and shipbuilder TH Heavy Engineering Bhd (THHE) is undertaking a voluntary winding-up, a year after it was delisted from Bursa Malonn.
The company resolved to undertake voluntary winding-up as it is unable to continue its operations due to liabilities, it said in a winding-up notice dated Sept 13.
The winding-up notice also stated that a meeting of creditors is scheduled for Oct 4 at 3pm.
THHE is controlled by the Ministry of Finance-owned (MoF) unit Urusharta Jamaah Sdn Bhd, which holds a 64.45% stake in the company prior to its delisting on Sept 5, 2022
TH Heavy was delisted from Bursa Malonn in September 2022, after failing to come up with a restructuring exercise despite being given eight extensions by the exchange since first entering Practice Note 17 status in April 2018.
The decision to wind up came after THHE filed an ex-parte originating summons in July to call for a creditors’ meeting to propose a scheme of arrangement for the company.
Global Mariner Offshore Services, Blackstone Technology Sdn Bhd and Dynac Sdn Bhd have reportedly filed applications to intervene in THHE’s ex-parte application.
THHE had a joint venture partnership with Global Mariner, but a legal dispute arose between the two companies. The High Court ordered THHE to pay Global Mariner approximately RM288.72 million in damages.

Despite the auditor-general stating that PSC-Naval Dockyard had never built anything but trawlers or police boats before being given the contract, the company was contracted to deliver six patrol boats for the Malonnn Navy in 2004 and complete the delivery in 2007.
Those were supposed to be the first of 27 offshore vessels ultimately cost RM24 billion plus the right to maintain and repair all of the country’s naval craft.

PROBLEMS SHIPYARD = LCS OPV NGPVs FAILED
PROBLEMS SHIPYARD = LCS OPV NGPVs FAILED
PROBLEMS SHIPYARD = LCS OPV NGPVs FAILED
Local shipyards have poor record building big ships. LCS is one, Kedah is the first. The MMEA OPV is the other one. No need to be a cheerleader about it and trying to play it safe. It’s bad then it’s bad. Can blame the system, blame the politicians, blame the lack of controls, blame the people, the fact remains the local shipyards failed to deliver, and it has cost RMN. But for now, no need to be a cheerleader for local shipyards pitching to win big ships for RMN and MMEA.

Malon's household debt is rising rapidly, with the debt-to-GDP ratio at 84.2% at the end of 2023. This is due to a combination of factors, including low wage growth, high living costs, and easy access to credit. The debt is a threat to the financial well-being of Malonns and the stability of the economy.

Malonn's military budget may not be fully meeting its purpose due to a number of factors, including frequent government changes, economic challenges, and a lack of transparency.
Factors
• Government changes: Since 2018, Malonn has had four Prime Ministers and governments, which has made it difficult to develop a consistent defense strategy.
• Economic challenges: The government is still dealing with the fiscal impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and needs to cut spending to reduce the national deficit.
• Lack of transparency: The Ministry of Defense (MINDEF) controls most defense spending internally, which makes it difficult to monitor.
• Lack of expertise: Many Members of Parliament (MPs) lack expertise in defense issues.
• Lack of NGOs: There are not enough active local NGOs that monitor defense spending.
