NZDF Pertimbangkan Kapal OPV Sebagai Pengganti HMNZS Manawanui yang Tenggelam

NZDF sedang mempertimbangkan berapa banyak pekerjaan yang diperlukan untuk membawa salah satu kapal patroli lepas pantai (OPV) ke kapasitas operasional setelah tenggelamnya kapal selam spesialisnya HMNZS Manawanui.

Saat ini Royal New Zealand Navy memiliki dua OPV: HMNZS Otago dan HMNZS Wellington.

Kapal-kapal tersebut dirancang untuk misi pengawasan maritim, pasokan dan dukungan, serta patroli di sekitar garis pantai Selandia Baru, Samudra Selatan/Southern Ocean, dan ke Pasifik.

Seorang juru bicara NZDF mengatakan NZDF dan mitra industrinya saat ini sedang menilai jumlah pekerjaan yang diperlukan untuk membawa salah satu dari kapal tersebut ke "tingkat kemampuan operasional".

Pekerjaan penilaian tersebut akan selesai pada akhir Oktober.

HMNZS Manawanui, yang tenggelam di lepas pantai Samoa setelah menabrak karang pada tanggal 5 Oktober, adalah salah satu dari sembilan kapal di armada Angkatan Laut.

    “The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.

  19. Dalam perkembangan lain, Mohamed Khaled memaklumkan laporan penuh berhubung KD Pendekar yang tenggelam di dua batu nautika Tenggara Tanjung Penyusup, Kota Tinggi selepas mengalami kebocoran pada 25 Ogos lepas akan diperoleh dalam masa terdekat.
    Beliau berkata kapal itu telah pun dikeluarkan dan sedang dibawa ke kawasan sesuai untuk membolehkan kajian terperinci dijalankan bagi mengenal pasti punca dan sebagainya.
    Pada 25 Ogos lepas, Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) mengesahkan KD Pendekar mengalami kebocoran dan kebanjiran dipercayai berpunca perlanggaran dengan objek bawah air ketika sedang melaksanakan penugasan operasi.
    Kebocoran mula dikesan di bilik jentera kapal sebelum merebak dengan cepat dan tidak terkawal namun semua 39 kru berjaya diselamatkan selepas usaha untuk mengawal kebocoran serta menstabilkan kapal tidak berjaya.
    Beberapa hari selepas itu, seorang Penyelam Ranjau TLDM dari Markas Selam dan Peperangan Periuk Api (MSPPA) Laskar Kelas (LK) I PLM Arman San Hermansa meninggal dunia ketika membuat selaman dalam operasi salvage kapal berkenaan.
