Members of the Philippine Army conduct a live fire exercise of the newly acquired Autonomous Truck Mounted Howitzer System (ATMOS) 155 self-propelled guns and M119 105mm Howitzer during the Combined Arms Training Exercise (CATEX) "Katihan" Battle 2 Period at Camp O'Donnell in Capas, Tarlac on Friday, Mar. 15.
CATEX Katihan is the first-ever large-scale exercise that aims to enhance the overall effectiveness of the military and further establish a secure and stable foundation for national defense.
Philippine Army operates two batteries of ATMOS 155 self-propelled guns which consist of 6 mobile firing units each (12 total) has been delivered by Elbit Systems.
