  7. Fellow bloggers, if I may the non-standard four bladed OV-10s that you see in the captioned picture is one of the aircraft went through Service Life Extension (SLEP) by the Philippine Air Force (PAF) in 2004 through Marsh Aviation Company in Mesa, Arizona, USA. It involved overhauling and modernizing the airframes and systems, replacement of the original 3-bladed propellers with new 4-bladed ones made by , replacing the gearboxes with new ones, overhauling the aircraft's systems and zero-timing the airframe. A new locally made 20mm gun pod was equipped on the aircraft. In addition between 2010 to 2012, the OV-10s were also modernized by making it night flying capable and equipped with up-to-date navigational equipment. Some PAF OV-10s were modified to carry precision guided munitions (PGM) in the form of GBU-12 Paveway II 500lb laser-guided bombs

SLEP'ed aircraft can be distinguished from other OV-10s in the fleet by its grey color scheme with the usual shark nose paint, and the 4-bladed propellers.
