The
Australian Army’s Special Operations Command has successfully completed
maritime counter-terrorism and emergency response scenario training around
Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, between 29 July and 12 August.
The complex
training exercise undertaken by the 2nd Commando Regiment’s Tactical Assault
Group East involved several elements of the Army, Royal Australian Navy and
Royal Australian Air Force, as well as Victorian and Australian Government
authorities, in challenging environmental conditions.
