Kendaraan jembatan (bridge vehicle) merupakan hasil kerjasama DTI Thailand bersama Norinco China dengan mengambil basis kendaraan jembatan Norinco GQL-111 (photos: DTI Thailand)
Pada tanggal 26-29 Maret 2024 Defence Technology Institute Thailand unit Proyek Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kendaraan Jembatan (bridge vehicle with strong support equipment) bekerja sama dengan Security Industry Standard Testing Center melakukan pengujian kendaraan jembatan dengan peralatan pendukung yang kuat pada kelas beban berat 30 ton menurut subjek pengujian dan evaluasi Angkatan Darat (Royal Thai Army) dan standar pengujian kendaraan jembatan DTI-STD-003 dari Defence Technology Institute untuk memeriksa dan mengkonfirmasi kualitas dari prototipe kendaraan jembatan pendukung.
Turut hadir juga kelompok kerja pengujian dan evaluasi dari Angkatan Darat Kerajaan Thailand yang berpartisipasi dalam mengamati tes ini di Corps Engineer, Kamp Burachat, Provinsi Ratchaburi.
Topik pengujian prototipe kendaraan jembatan meliputi:
1. Berapa lama waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk membangun satu jembatan?
2. Kemampuan memasang jembatan penyeberangan sungai menurut tahapan pengangkatan, penyebaran, penempatan, dan penyimpanan.
3. Kemampuan menyeberangi sungai dan menopang beban peralatan teknik untuk misi bantuan bencana dengan memindahkan peralatan teknis dengan kecepatan yang sesuai dan aman untuk 2 kali trip (pulang pergi).
Hasil tes kendaraan jembatan dinyatakan lulus sesuai topik pengujian dan evaluasi Angkatan Darat Kerajaan Thailand dan prototipe mobil jembatan pendukung siap memasuki proses akreditasi standar penelitian dan pengembangan militer dari Angkatan Darat Kerajaan Thailand (Royal Thai Army).
