Jakarta: Industri Pertahanan Indonesia atau Defense Industry Indonesia (Defend ID), holding Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN), optimistis mencapai peringkat 50 dunia Tahun ini. Dalam dua tahun terakhir, prestasi industri pertahanan Indonesia terus menanjak.
Direktur Utama PT Len Industri, sebagai induk holding Defend ID, Bobby Rasyidin mengatakan industri pertahanan mengalami lonjakan peringkat yang luar biasa. Lima tahun terakhir, industri pertahanan Indonesia sama sekali tidak masuk dalam 150 daftar kotak.
Dua tahun lalu, lanjut Bobby, Industri Pertahanan Indonesia mulai muncul di urutan nomor 86. Kemudian pada 2023, Industri Pertahanan Indonesia berada di urutan 76.
"Kita harapkan tahun ini berada di urutan ke-50,” ujar Bobby, Jumat, 12 Januari 2024.
Menurut Bobby ada sejumlah parameter saat berbicara industri pertahanan. Pertama, Global Fire Power (GFP) Indonesia berada di nomor 13. Kedua, industri pertahanan Indonesia relevan dengan luas wilayahnya. Dan ketiga, lanjut Bobby, perkembangan industri pertahanan yang sangat signifikan.
"Sehingga, Indonesia termasuk negara berkemampuan pertahanan yang baik," kata dia.
Wakil Menteri Pertahanan (Wamenhan) Muhammad Herindra mengatakan secara umum kondisi alat perang Indonesia menuju arah yang bagus dan mutakhir. Menurutnya, Kondisi alat perang ini masih mendukung tugas pokok dan fungsi TNI menjaga kedaulatan.
"Menteri Pertahanan Prabowo Subianto sangat fokus menjaga performa TNI agar kinerja terus optimal," kata Herindra dilansir dari Antara.

Duta Mesir ke Malaysia Ragai Tawfik Said Nasr berkata, berikutan pertemuan antara Perdana Menteri Malaysia Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dan Presiden Mesir Abdel Fattah al-Sisi pada 23 Oktober di Kaherah, presiden telah mengarahkan supaya mengutamakan dan menyegerakan penghantaran bantuan kemanusiaan dari Malaysia ke Gaza.
"Malaysia adalah antara negara pertama di Asean yang menghantar sejumlah 100 tan bantuan kemanusiaan untuk rakyat Palestin, termasuk 60 tan yang dihantar baru-baru ini untuk rakyat Palestin, yang akan sampai kepada Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Palestin dalam beberapa hari akan datang.
