The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Italian Air Force (ItAF) signed a “Technical
Agreement to train military personnel of Singapore at Italian Air Force institutions.
In particular, the agreement sets the terms of the participation of six Singaporean student pilots to the ItAF flying training program, to take place at the 61th Wing in Lecce (Italy), to obtain the Military Pilot Licence and the advanced training qualification for combat aircrafts, the latter following the Lead In Flight Training course on MB-339CD aircraft.
The training program starts May 2012.
The agreement, developed in view of the delivery to the RSAF of 12 M-346 advanced trainer aircrafts, represents a further step in cooperation between ItAF and RSAF.
