Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwannarat and his counterpart
from Singapore ,
Ng Eng Hen, on Friday discussed plans to look for a larger training camp for
Singaporean soldiers.
ACM Sukumpol said Singapore 's Defence Ministry did
not want a permanent camp like Sai Yok in Kanchanaburi, where Singaporean
soldiers have been training for more than 30 years.
Sources said the Singaporean army wanted to expand the scale
of its excercises, for battle tanks and artillery.
The new site might be at Dan Lan Hoi village in Sukhothai,
