Inggris telah meluncurkan drone jammer baru yang akan terbang ke medan pertempuran di depan F-35 dan Typhoon serta akan mengacau dan membingungkan radar musuh.
RAF StormShroud, yang mulai beroperasi pada hari Jumat, didasarkan pada drone AR3 dengan jangkauan 100 km yang dibuat oleh perusahaan Inggris-Portugis Tekever, yang telah digunakan di Ukraina.
Di dalamnya, StormShroud membawa pengacau pengganti BriteStorm yang dipasok oleh Leonardo UK, yang dirancang untuk memblokir radar musuh atau menipunya, menciptakan tanda-tanda jet "hantu".
Aset baru ini "berarti untuk pertama kalinya, RAF akan mendapatkan keuntungan dari peperangan elektronik tingkat tinggi tanpa perlu awak untuk mengoperasikannya, membebaskan mereka untuk misi garis depan vital lainnya," kata pemerintah Inggris dalam sebuah pernyataan.
“Ini adalah momen penting bagi RAF untuk mempertahankan keunggulan kami dalam pertempuran udara dan keamanan nasional,” kata Kepala Marsekal Udara RAF Sir Rich Knighton.
Investasi awal sebesar £19 juta ($25 juta) oleh RAF akan membuat Tekever memproduksi “ratusan” platform di Inggris tahun ini, kata perusahaan itu.
AR3 yang diluncurkan dari rel, yang memiliki berat operasi maksimum 25 kg, memiliki daya tahan 16 jam dan kecepatan jelajah hingga 90 km/jam.

BriteStorm seberat 2,5 kg, yang ukurannya kira-kira sebesar enam kaleng Coca-Cola, termasuk modul pemancar dan penerima serta antenanya, menggunakan teknologi Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) Leonardo untuk menangkap sinyal radar musuh secara digital.
Leonardo mengatakan bahwa pesawat berawak besar konvensional yang membawa jammer jarak jauh harus terbang lebih jauh di belakang medan pertempuran dan kurang efektif.

Dioperasikan oleh Skuadron 216 RAF, StormShroud dirancang untuk dapat dibuang. Saat menjelaskan BriteStorm, Leonardo berkata, "Saat kembali, BriteStorm dapat diprogram ulang dengan cepat untuk misi berikutnya, tetapi jika dihancurkan untuk mempertahankan platform yang bernilai lebih tinggi atau berawak, kerugiannya masih dapat ditoleransi."
Drone tersebut menandai langkah menuju kolaborasi antara platform udara berawak dan tak berawak – sebuah ambisi dari program pesawat tempur GCAP Inggris-Italia-Jepang, yang membayangkan kawanan drone terbang bersama pesawat tempur.
RAF mengatakan bahwa mereka bertekad untuk segera membawa teknologi tersebut ke garis depan.
“Pelajaran yang dipetik dari perang di Ukraina telah meningkatkan produksi StormShroud dan hanya butuh waktu satu tahun sejak Persyaratan Kemampuan Mendesak (UCR) disahkan hingga menghadirkan kemampuan baru, yang secara signifikan mengurangi waktu dan biaya program,” kata layanan tersebut.

Insiden kira-kira jam 5 petang itu berlaku ketika pesawat berkenaan menjalani latihan 'Opening Gambit' sebagai persiapan acara pembukaan Pameran Maritim dan Aeroangkasa Antarabangsa Langkawi 2025 (LIMA '25).
Menurut kenyataan Bahagian Perhubungan Awam TUDM, pesawat mengalami masalah pada bahagian 'nose landing gear' ketika pendaratan.

According to European Security & Defence reporting from LIMA 2023, the Malonnn Ankas will have modified wings to improve their endurance.

• Ageing equipment: The Malonn military's equipment is aging due to small procurement budgets over the past 25 years.
• Lack of modern assets: The Malonn Armed Forces (MAF) lacks modern military assets, which puts them at risk from both internal and external threats.
• Russian-made weapons: Malon has been struggling to keep its Russian-made Su-30MKM ground-attack aircraft operational. The country is also wary of Russian-made weapons due to sanctions imposed on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
• Local production: The MAF is reluctant to use locally produced products. Local companies have produced prototypes of pistols and rifles, but none have materialized.
• Procurement system: The Malonn procurement system needs reform.

The Finance Ministry stated that the aggregate national household DEBT stood at RM1.53 trillion between 2018 and 2023. In aggregate, it said the household DEBT for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household DEBT to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.

2024 = 84% NO SAVING EVERY MONTH
A recent survey conducted by the Financial Education Network (FEN) showed that 84 per cent of Malonns do not have regular savings every month.
The level of financial literacy among Malonns is still low. The study found that 69 per cent prefer spending over saving, leading to a lack of savings for emergencies. Moreover, 47 per cent admitted to having difficulty setting aside RM1,000 for emergencies."

A total of 171 assets from all three branches of the Malonn Armed Forces (ATM) have exceeded 30 years of service, underscoring the challenges posed by aging military equipment. The issue was raised by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin in response to a question from Lim Lip Eng (DAP-Kepong) during today’s parliamentary session. “The number of ATM assets exceeding 30 years in service includes 108 units for the Malonn Army, 29 units for the Royal Malonn Air Force (RMAF), and 34 units for the Royal Malonn Navy (RMN),” he stated. He added, “The operational lifespan of military assets varies according to their respective functions.” However, the minister did not provide specific details on the types of assets beyond the 30-year threshold. In recent years, military leaders have openly acknowledged the burden of outdated assets. Earlier this month, Malon Armed Forces (MAF) chief General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman disclosed to local media that 34 RMN vessels have surpassed their intended service life, with 28 of them over 40 years old. “The RMN currently operates 53 ships across various classes to meet operational and patrol needs within Malon’s maritime zones. “However, many of these vessels have exceeded their optimal lifespan in terms of capability, techNOLogy, and maintenance costs,” he said during a press conference after the 91st ATM Anniversary celebration at Camp Segenting earlier this month. According to General Mohammad, the age limit for RMN vessels is 35 years for submarines and 30 years for frigates, corvettes, logistics ships, next-generation patrol vessels, and hydrographic vessels. Smaller vessels, such as fast patrol boats, mine warfare ships, sailing vessels, and tugboats, have an age limit of 24 years. In July of last year, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim called for an overhaul of MAF’s procurement system, stressing the need for reform....

According to European Security & Defence reporting from LIMA 2023, the Malonnn Ankas will have modified wings to improve their endurance.

• The country's 2025 defense allocation was RM21.2 billion ($4.5 billion), which is a 7.08% increase from the previous year

The Finance Ministry stated that the aggregate national household DEBT stood at RM1.53 trillion between 2018 and 2023. In aggregate, it said the household DEBT for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household DEBT to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.
