Kupang (ANTARA) - Komandan Pangkalan Udara (Lanud) EL Tari Kupang Marsma TNI Djoko Hadipurwanto menyatakan TNI AU akan menambah dua satuan radar (satrad) di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur untuk memperkuat wilayah pertahanan Udara Nusa Tenggara Timur yang berbatasan dengan Timor Leste dan Australia.
"Kedepan ini di bulan April dan Mei akan ada groudbreaking dua Satrad lagi di NTT," katanya kepada ANTARA setelah memimpin upacara peringatan HUT ke 79 TNI AU di hanggar pesawat tempur Lanud El Tari Kupang, Rabu.
Dia menjelaskan bahwa saat ini sudah ada satu satuan radar yang terletak di Buraen, Kabupaten Kupang, di Pulau Timor.
Untuk dua satuan radar yang akan dibangun itu terletak di pulau Sumba dan juga di pulau Alor guna menjaga wilayah udara Indonesia khususnya di NTT.
Komandan berbintang satu itu mengatakan bahwa dengan ada tambahan dua Satrad itu maka dia menilai NTT merupakan provinsi yang istimewa.
"NTT ini istimewa, karena jarang satu provinsi ada tiga Satrad. Nah kita ini punya tiga Satrad luar biasa sekali," ujar dia.
Penambahan Satrad itu ujar dia juga merupakan perhatian khusus dari pemerintah pusat untuk TNI AU. Apalagi NTT merupakan wilayah paling selatan Indonesia dan sangat strategis berbatasan dengan dua negara.
Selain dalam hal peningkatan pertahanan udara, Lanud El Tari juga menjadi Forward Operating Base atau FOB atau pangkalan operasi terdepan yang disiapkan untuk menjembatani pelaksanaan operasi udara ke depan.

• Russian-made weapons: Malon has been struggling to keep its Russian-made Su-30MKM ground-attack aircraft operational. The country is also wary of Russian-made weapons due to sanctions imposed on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
• Local production: The MAF is reluctant to use locally produced products. Local companies have produced prototypes of pistols and rifles, but none have materialized.
• Procurement system: The Malonn procurement system needs reform.

Joe-Can anyone explain, in layman terms, why the ship sides is seen to be bubbling/caving/not smooth?
It is sheet metal welded together multi layered with hull metal be it aluminium alloy or high strength steel. Usually they were cut in squares( ERAWA) on the pendekar. There’s calculations behind that and it is a trade secret.
Until now it’s still unclear what kind of radar will be used on the LMSB2 Cenk Aesa or Cenk 3D also the anti submarine weapon. Will it be rockets or light torps.

PMX has defended the decision to SEWA the helicopters for the military and other government agencies – RM16.5 billion for 15 years – during the Parliament session on Thursday. Among others he said the government adopted the leasing model to reduce maintenance costs and at the same time improved the operational readiness of the fleet.
DS Anwar Ibrahim did not address the fact that the government will be paying some RM1 billion a year for 15 years for the helicopters. He also said the helicopters selected were based on the specifications and requirements of the agencies themselves.
He also confirmed that the Army will also be part of the leasing programme apart from RMAF,RMN, MMEA, police, Fire and Rescue Department, and the Prime Minister Department. Apart from RMAF 12 and police’s seven helicopters, he did not give the breakdown for the other services and agencies.

It is sheet metal welded together multi layered with hull metal be it aluminium alloy or high strength steel. Usually they were cut in squares( ERAWA) on the pendekar. There’s calculations behind that and it is a trade secret.
Until now it’s still unclear what kind of radar will be used on the LMSB2 Cenk Aesa or Cenk 3D also the anti submarine weapon. Will it be rockets or light torps.

PMX DS Anwar Ibrahim today announce an allocation of RM40.6 billion for the national security sector from the RM461 billion 2025 national budget. This is an increase of RM2 billion for the sector which includes Home and Defence ministries, from the 2024 budget of RM38.7 billion.

PMX has defended the decision to SEWA the helicopters for the military and other government agencies – RM16.5 billion for 15 years – during the Parliament session on Thursday. Erol Oguz, unmanned aerial systems programme manager at Turkish Aerospace, told ESD at LIMA that the UAV type being supplied to Malonn will be a new version of the Anka-S with modified wings. Oguz also confirmed that the Ankas will NOt be armed, but will carry a maritime intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) payload that includes a synthetic aperture radar and an electro-optical/infra-red sensor.

Malonn to use Anka-S for Maritime Surveillance
While the specific equipment configuration of the Ankas is NOt currently kNOwn, they will be operated solely as a maritime surveillance platform in Malonnn service, and will NOt be equipped with any weaponry. According to European Security & Defence reporting from LIMA 2023, the Malonnn Ankas will have modified wings to improve their endurance.

Malon's combat equipment has several weaknesses, including:
• Ageing equipment: The Malonn military's equipment is aging due to small procurement budgets over the past 25 years.
• Lack of modern assets: The Malonn Armed Forces (MAF) lacks modern military assets, which puts them at risk from both internal and external threats.
• Russian-made weapons: Malon has been struggling to keep its Russian-made Su-30MKM ground-attack aircraft operational. The country is also wary of Russian-made weapons due to sanctions imposed on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
• Local production: The MAF is reluctant to use locally produced products. Local companies have produced prototypes of pistols and rifles, but none have materialized.
• Procurement system: The Malonn procurement system needs reform.

Diketahui, Kepala Staf TNI AU (KSAU) Marsekal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo mengungkapkan bahwa TNI AU merencanakan pengadaan 25 radar baru untuk ditempatkan di sejumlah titik untuk memperkuat pertahanan udara Indonesia.
