A prototype 4X4 military truck with independent suspension (swing semi-axles) by the Defense Technology Institute (DTI) that has been tested and evaluated by the Ordnance Materiel Rebuild Center (OMRC), Ordnance Department, Royal Thai Army (RTA) at the tactical training ground of the 2nd Infantry Division Queen's Guard (it is understood that it should be in the area of the unit in Prachin Buri Province) and the driving and vehicle testing training ground of the Army Transportation Department in Kanchanaburi Province on September 2-4, 2024.
It can be seen from the set of images that DTI Thailand released on its official online social media on September 6, 2024 that the prototype of the 4X4 military truck is based on the Tatra 815-7 family of heavy military trucks from the Czech Republic's Tatra company, with the development of a trapezoidal and hemispherical rear loading section, which is likely intended to increase protection against improvised explosive devices and small-armor bullets at the light armor level.
Czech Republic Tatra heavy trucks have already been used as the base chassis for several Thai-made and serviced weapons systems in the Royal Thai Army, including the 155mm self-propelled M758 ATMG (Autonomous Truck-Mounted Gun) heavy artillery gun for the 10-tonne Tatra 6x6 truck, and the prototype of the D11A multi-purpose multiple launch rocket launcher vehicle for the Tatra 6x6 10-tonne truck, which is also the work of DTI Thailand. It is understood that the Royal Thai Army has a need to procure 4x4 trucks between 1 1/4tonne and 2 1/2 tonne to replace its old vehicles that have been in use for a long time.
Currently, the Royal Thai Army has many types of 4x4 trucks in use, such as the 1 1/4-tonne UNIMOG U1100 L/29 4x4 truck from Germany, which has been in service for a long time; the 2 1/2-tonne Isuzu FTS 33 H2E 4x4 truck from Japan, which is a civilian vehicle with limitations in tactical use (such as not being able to drive through floodwaters to help people); and the 1 1/4-tonne Tata LPTA 715/32 TC 4x4 truck from India, which has been seen to have some usage (maintenance) problems.

KUALA LUMPUR: Housing loans made up the largest chunk of household debt in Malaysia at 60.5%, it was revealed.
The Finance Ministry stated that the aggregate national household debt stood at RM1.53 trillion between 2018 and 2023.
In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018).
“The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.

Kepala Biro Humas Setjen Kemhan Brigjen TNI Edwin Adrian Sumantha mengatakan istilah yang tepat atas langkah yang diambil pemerintah terkait pembiayaan proyek pesawat tempur KF-21 adalah 'penyesuaian pembayaran' (payment adjustment), bukan 'pemotongan pembayaran'. Ia mengatakan penyesuaian tersebut sejalan dengan kemajuan kerja sama yang telah dan masih akan dilaksanakan bersama Republik Korea.
"Penyesuaian pembayaran ini merupakan sebuah langkah yang logis dan rasional, mengingat terdapat beberapa kegiatan dalam program yang tidak dapat diikuti oleh teknisi Indonesia," kata dia ketika dikonfirmasi pada Senin (6/5/2024).

Panglima TLDM Laksamana Tan Sri Mohd Reza Mohd Sany berkata, bilangan kapal itu mungkin akan berubah bergantung kepada keadaan geo-strategik rantau itu yang dinamik.
Dalam temuramah dengan majalah pertahanan berbahasa Inggeris tempatan, Asian Defence Journal (ADJ) keluaran May-Jun tahun ini, beliau juga memaklumkan bilangan jenis-jenis kapal perang yang dirancang dimiliki oleh TLDM dibawah pelan transformasi itu.
“Mengikut Pelan Transformasi 15 ke 5 TLDM, ia dijangka akan memiliki 12 buah kapal Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), tiga buah kapal Multi Role Support Ship (MRSS), 18 buah kapal Littoral Mission Ship (LMS), 18 buah kapal Patrol Vessel (PV) dan empat buah kapal selam menjelang tahun 2050,” kata beliau dalam temuramah itu.
