Shrike Marine telah mendapatkan pengaturan untuk menguji coba versi lanjutan dari Advanced Weapon Station (AWS) miliknya dengan Angkatan Darat Malaysia.
Saat berbicara dengan Janes pada pameran Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2024 ke-18 di Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, Shrike Marine mengungkapkan uji coba rencananya akan dimulai mulai 13 Mei.
Versi AWS yang disempurnakan terungkap untuk pertama kalinya di DSA 2024.
Shrike Marine memproduksi AWS di Malaysia bekerja sama dengan Advanced Defense Systems Sdn Bhd (ADSSB).
AWS yang ditingkatkan dilengkapi dengan “kotak amunisi” untuk menyalurkan peluru dan mekanisme penyerapan guncangan yang lebih baik untuk meningkatkan operasi. Versi yang disempurnakan hanya tersedia dalam versi kartrid 12,7 mm dibandingkan dengan versi lama, yang tersedia dalam 12,7 mm dan 7,62 mm. Kontraktor memberi tahu Janes bahwa model versi yang disempurnakan 7,62 mm sedang dalam proses.
Sistem ini dapat dipasang pada kendaraan 4×4 atau kendaraan lapis baja lainnya untuk memenuhi persyaratan misi infanteri. Sistem ini dilengkapi kamera Safran untuk mendeteksi dan melacak target sejauh 12,5 km. Kamera dapat beroperasi dalam mode siang hari, termal, dan hybrid untuk meningkatkan presisi senjata.

membayar sekitar 322,1 juta USD. Dengan begitu ada kekurangan sekitar 117,4 juta USD yang harus dibayarkan hingga tahun 2026.

Jika proposal ini disetujui, maka otomatis akan menghapus tunggakan pembayaran Indonesia yang hingga Mei ini telah mencapai 981.137.500 USD. Lalu dengan nilai cost share 600 miliar won artinya prosentase cost share Indonesia dalam proyek ini akan turun menjadi hanya 7,5%.
