Commander of the Third Naval Area Command Inspects the Maritime Operational Readiness Training of Ships and Aircraft in the Third Naval Area Operations Fleet

On October 19, 2015, Vice Admiral Weerudom Muangchin, Commander of the Third Naval Area Command and Director of the Third Naval Area Maritime Interests Protection Center, along with administrative officers, inspected the maritime operational readiness training of ships and aircraft in the Third Naval Area Operations Fleet.

The force consisted of HTMS Kraburi, HTMS Krabi, HTMS Hua Hin, HTMS Tor 271, and a Type 4 transport helicopter (Sikorsy S-76B).

The objective of the training was to review knowledge, procedures, and equipment readiness to enhance proficiency and enable timely and effective mission response.

The training topics included:

1. Maneuvering (SCREENEX),

2. Seaborne cargo receiving and delivery training and tactical rope rappelling (FAST ROPE),

3. Tactical maneuver,

4. Drowning rescue.

This training will equip the Third Naval Area Command (NAV) with operational readiness, under the slogan "The Year of Naval Readiness," to instill public confidence and pride in the work of the Third Naval Area Command (NAV) and the Third Naval Area Maritime Interests Protection Center (NAAC) in the Andaman Sea region.

-Second Naval Area Command: responsible for the southern part of Gulf of Thailand
