KNDS dan Rheinmetall menampilkan konsep turret tak berawak untuk tank tempur utama/main battle tank (MBT) pada pameran pertahanan Eurosatory 2024 yang diadakan di Paris pada 17 hingga 21 Juni. Pada tanggal 17 Juni KNDS meluncurkan konsep Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 MBT, diikuti pada hari yang sama oleh Rheinmetall dengan Crew Unmanned Turret (CUT) untuk KF51 Panther MBT.

Direktur Pelaksana KNDS Axel Scheibel mengatakan turret tak berawak Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 tidak mengganggu sasis tank dan tiga orang awak ditempatkan di kompartemen awak kompak yang mengurangi area yang digunakan pada kendaraan sebesar 30%.

Turret ini dipersenjatai dengan smoothbore L55 atau L44 120 mm, meriam utama 130 mm atau 140 mm dengan autoloader, dan sistem kendali penembakan 4D. Di Eurosatory 2024, ia dihadirkan dengan meriam L55 120 mm. Axel Scheibel mengatakan ada 20 peluru siap tembak, tiga peluru pertama dapat ditembakkan dalam 10 detik.

Lebih banyak peluru disimpan di dalam tank, dengan jumlah totalnya tergantung pada kaliber senjatanya. Leopard 2 saat ini memiliki total 42 peluru. Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 MBT dapat diisi ulang dari kotak amunisi yang Scheibel bandingkan dengan kotak botol yang kapasitasnya bergantung pada kaliber peluru.
Turret ini memiliki stasiun senjata yang dikendalikan dari jarak jauh/ remote-controlled weapon station (RCWS) dengan persenjataan sekunder 30 mm yang dapat digunakan melawan target yang lebih ringan, termasuk kendaraan udara tak berawak (UAV). Ia juga memiliki peluncur rudal tunggal untuk rudal berpemandu line-of-sight/non-line-of-sight (LOS/NLOS) dengan jangkauan minimal 6 km yang dapat ditembakkan saat tank bergerak.

BalasHapusAs I had answered in the comments section, the Malaysian variant of the Ada class will be a fully kitted out corvette complete with guns and missiles. RMN big-wigs when asked about it at DSA 2024 were adamant that the service did not want a repeat of what happened with the Kedah class. Simply said they are not willing to have another class of ships with fitted for but not paid equipment. 🤔🤣🤣🤣
