Da Nang Submarine Ready to Go Home

Morning 6/12, the cargo ship Rolldock Star of Netherlands are in the North Sea, the Baltic Sea to prepare in Port St. Petersburg (Russia) welcomed the submarine Da Nang to Vietnam.

Cargo ships OOG Rolldock Star has left the port of Rotterdam, Netherlands date 4/12 and is expected to dock in St. Petersburg at 18 o'clock on 9/12 (20:12 am VN GMT). With about 1.5 month long journey, expected around late January 1, 2016 Da Nang submarines arrived in Cam Ranh, Vietnam.

Da Nang submarine has been completed undergo sea trials, and is anchored in the waters near the Admiralty Shipyard.

14/10 last day, sailor crew and submarine officer Da Nang completed training in NG Kuznetsov Naval Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia after more than 1.5 years of study. Students also had experiences on Da Nang submarines.

Russian Naval Academy training also trains submariners for 6th Vietnam submarine,  Ba Ria - Vung Tau 187, which has launched 9/.2015..

This is the last two submarine in shipments for 6 Kilo 636.1 class submarines from Russia to Vietnam under a contract signed in 2009.

Da Nang is the 5th Kilo class submarines, after the submarine Hanoi 182 (Dec 31,  2013), Ho Chi Minh 183 (May 3, 2014), Haiphong 184 (Feb 1, 2015), Khanh Hoa 185 (May 6, 2015).

Da Nang submarine started 07/01/2013, 28/12/2014 was launched. From 4/2015 ship underwent several tests and trials at sea.

Rolldock the carrier had transported 4 Kilo 636.1 submarines from Russia to Vietnam.  The latest submarine shipped by Rolldock to Vietnam is Khanh Hoa 185, arrived at Cam Ranh on June 30, 2015 after 1.5 month voyage. "Rolldock Star" cargo ship 2 times shipping Kilo submarines for Vietnam : Ho Chi Minh 183 and Hai Phong 184.
