Lorenzana : ‘Great Aircraft, the F16’

“Great aircraft, the F16. So easy to fly. I even landed it safely. Haha! Well, that’s based from my static simulator flight. Thanks, Lockheed Martin, for such a thrilling experience,” National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said in a social media post on September 11, sharing photos of him trying Lockheed Martin’s F16 simulator.

Secretary Lorenzana, on September 10, met with United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III at the Pentagon.

Secretary Lorenzana said that the US and Philippines have shared goals in the Indo-Pacific region, including a stable and secure environment.

“Regional instability necessitates a network of effective alliances and defense partnerships,” he said.

Lorenzana also noted that the current modernization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines has been one of the main areas of alliance cooperation with the United States.

“I’m optimistic that today’s discussion will continue to build on the friendship, partnership and alliance between our two countries, which is founded on our shared system, history and cooperation,” Lorenzana said.
