Rohde & Schwarz was awarded a contract to deliver R&S M3AR software defined, multiband-capable airborne radios for the Royal Thai Air Force’s (RTAF) new Textron Aviation T-6C Texan II training aircraft, to be called the T-6TH within the RTAF.
“We have a long history of working with the RTAF, having committed ourselves to delivering secure communication solutions that meet national requirements,” Stefan Pleyer, Vice President Application Segment Avionics, Rohde & Schwarz, explains. “Here, local content and involvement of local industry are key. With our local partner, we bring commonality and fit for the RTAF’s secure communications. We know our customers and support them as a long-term, reliable partner. RTAF knows, we keep our promises.”
The R&S M3AR multiband, multimode, multirole radios are the solution of choice for the reliable transmission of mission-critical information, whether for jet or propeller aircraft, helicopters or unmanned aerial vehicles.

1. One time Full engineering training upfront, under TOT scheme.
2. All maintenance will be done in Indonesia, with licence to produce some of the spare parts.
3. Engine used is F110-GE-129, produced by Samsung, South Korea, instead of the original Pratt & Whitney.
It's similar engine to Singapore's and Saudi Arabia's.
(Possibly, it's related to the KFX/IFX joint program)
4. Total order of F-15EX that has been approved by congress, purchased by fiscal year:
√ 8 unit by FY 2020
√ 12 unit by FY 2021
√ 64 unit by FY 2022-26
5. Software asked is the latest ones, direct interoperability with US allies.
Hence the security and data problems.
It takes additional $2-3 billions to build the system for F16, F16 & F21 boramae.

Alongside the sale of stake, it was announced that Proton's first SUV would be based on the Geely Boyue. The Proton X70 launched in Malaysia in December 2019.
It was fully imported from China and featured only minor cosmetic changes inside and out.
