Super Lynx 300 of the Royal Thai Navy (photo : Militaryphotos)The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) formally accepted the AgustaWestland Super Lynx 300 intermediate maritime helicopter into service aboard the frigate HTMS Taksin at a ceremony in Sattahip Naval Base on 7 February 2005.
Thailand placed a £25 million (US$47 million) order for two Super Lynx 300 helicopters in August 2001. Both aircrew and maintainers have undergone training at AgustaWestland's Yeovil facility in preparation for the aircraft entering operational service.
