The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is to acquire a fleet of Israel Aircraft Industries I-View 250 long-range tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (TUAVs) at a cost of AUD145 million (USD109.4 million) and establish a new army regiment specialising in UAV operations.
The I-View contract involves two units of TUAVs, with some additional platforms acquired to account for attrition.
