The Marine Division, Royal Thai Marine Corps (RTMC), Royal Thai Navy (RTN), received domestically produced equipment developed through research and development from the Defence Technology Institute (DTI), an agency under the Thai Ministry of Defence. Comprising the AAVP7A1 amphibious vehicle, the D-Tiger 4x4 multi-purpose wheeled armored vehicle, and the Long Term Evolution (LTE) personal network system, the handover ceremony took place at the Royal Thai Marine Corps Headquarters, Krom Luang Chumphon Camp, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province on January 29, 2026. No further details are available at the time of writing this article.

It is understood that the AAVP7A1 amphibious assault vehicle recently delivered to the Royal Thai Marine Corps is a new, domestically modernized prototype under Thailand's DTI's Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) development, improvement, and maintenance project. Chaiseri Metal & Rubber Co. Ltd. of Thailand won the bid for this project. It will be deployed for official use at the Marine Assault Amphibian Vehicle Battalion (MSVA), alongside the existing 12 AAV7A1 amphibious vehicles, at least 3 of which have already been modernized to AAV7A1 RAM/RS by Chaiseri Thailand.

The D-Tiger 4x4 multi-purpose wheeled armored vehicle is based on the First Win MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) 4x4 wheeled armored vehicle, also a product of the Thai company Chaiseri, manufactured under the name of Thai Defense Industry Co., Ltd. (TDI).

TDI Thailand is a joint venture between the Defence Technology Institute (DTI) of Thailand and Chaiseri, a Thai company, to facilitate the export of Thai private sector weapons and military equipment to foreign countries through government-to-government agreements.

The D-Tiger 4x4 wheeled armored vehicle is equipped with a Guardian 1.5 remote weapon station (RWS) from the Spanish company Escribano Mechanical and Engineering (EM&E), featuring a 12.7mm heavy machine gun, similar to the AWAV 8x8 amphibious armored personnel carrier of the Royal Thai Marine Corps, manufactured by Chaiseri Thailand.

It is expected to be deployed to the Marine Tank Battalion, alongside the six First Win II 4x4 wheeled armored vehicles previously procured from Chaiseri Thailand. There is no further information available regarding the high-speed LTE personal network system. This handover ceremony marks the Royal Thai Marine Corps' continued support of Thailand's defense industry.

Batalyon Roket 1 Marinir Terima Kunjungan PT Pindad

TNI AL, Dispen Kormar, Pasmar 1 -- Batalyon Roket 1 Marinir (Yonroket 1 Mar) menerima kunjungan teknis dari tim ahli PT. Pindad di Markas Komando Batalyon Roket 1 Marinir (Yonroket 1 Mar) Kesatrian Marinir Baroto Sardadi, Marunda, Jakarta Utara. Kunjungan ini dilaksanakan dalam rangka koordinasi strategis demi penyempurnaan performa Alat Utama Sistem Senjata (Alutsista) buatan PT. Pindad, Rabu (28/01/2026).

​Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari siklus pengembangan Alutsista. Pindad sebagai produsen menyerap masukan langsung dari prajurit Korps Marinir sebagai operator di lapangan. Fokus utama diskusi teknis ini adalah meningkatkan efektivitas roket dalam operasi Artileri Medan dan evaluasi mekanisme integrasi antara munisi roket dengan kendaraan peluncur Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) yang digunakan Korps Marinir.

Sementara itu, Komandan Batalyon Roket 1 Marinir Letkol Marinir Baron Habibi, S.M., M.Tr.Opsla., menyambut baik inisiatif PT. Pindad dalam melakukan pendampingan teknis ini. Menurutnya, keterlibatan aktif operator sangat penting agar pengembangan teknologi roket dalam negeri benar-benar menjawab tantangan di medan tugas.

"Kerja sama ini adalah langkah nyata untuk memastikan Alutsista Pindad menjadi senjata yang tidak hanya canggih di atas kertas, tetapi juga tangguh dan presisi saat digunakan dalam pertempuran sebenarnya," ujar Danyon Roket 1 Marinir.

KD PARI-3510: 40 Tahun Menabur Bakti

SANDAKAN - Majlis Pelucutan Tauliah KD PARI telah disempurnakan oleh Panglima Armada Timur, Laksamana Madya Dato’ Khir Junaidi bin Idris bertempat di Jeti Pangkalan TLDM Sandakan, hari ini.

Turut hadir ke majlis, Panglima Wilayah Laut 2, Laksamana Muda Dato’ Yusne bin Mokhtar, Pegawai-pegawai TLDM dan tetamu jemputan khas iaitu 25 orang mantan Pegawai Memerintah KD PARI.

KD PARI berkekuatan akhir seramai 38 orang terdiri dari 3 Pegawai dan 35 Anggota Lain-lain Pangkat diketuai Lt Muhamad Zulhazreen bin Fazin TLDM selaku Pegawai Memerintah.

Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan sejarah KD PARI oleh Pegawai Memerintah kemudian penyerahan senarai nama warga kapal kepada Panglima Armada Timur.

 

Seterusnya upacara penurunan panji-panji, diikuti dengan ketukan loceng mengikut jumlah tahun kapal berkhidmat di dalam tldm iaitu 49 ketukan  dan penurunan gada-gada lucut tauliah berukuran 136.5 meter, yang mana panjang tersebut diperolehi berdasarkan kiraan panjang kapal dan usia perkhidmatan kapal dan seterusnya akan diiringi dengan alunan retreat. Upacara diakhiri dengan penurunan insignia Pegawai Memerintah KD PARI.

Sejarah KD PARI

KD PARI telah dilancarkan pada tahun 1975 di Limbungan Hong Leong-Lurssen, Butterworth, Pulau Pinang dan ditauliahkan pada tahun 23 Mac 1977. Menggunakan panggilan antarabangsa 9MJO dan nombor pennant 3510, kapal ini diletakkan di bawah Skuadron Fast Attack Craft (GUN) bersama enam buah kapal ronda di bawah Kelas Jerong. Pada tahun 2019, Skuadron Fast Attack Craft (GUN) telah ditukarkan kepada Skuadron Kapal Ronda Laju Ke-6 (SKRL-6) dan diletakkan dibawah naungan Markas Wilayah Laut 2 bagi menjalankan tugas rondaan di Pantai Timur Sabah.

KD PARI juga berperanan penting dalam menyokong misi Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM). Turut terlibat dalam Op DAULAT pada tahun 2013 bagi mengekang pencerobohan Tentera Sulu di Lahad Datu.

KD PARI telah menjalani naik taraf melalui program Repowering pada tahun 2022, namun sejajar dengan proses permodenan Armada TLDM seperti yang telah digariskan dalam Pelan Transformasi TLDM 15to5 dan perancangan Phasing Out bagi aset sedia ada, KD PARI menjadi kapal pertama daripada Skuadron ini yang dilucutkan tauliah.

RTA Prepares to Receive Boeing AH-6i Little Bird

The latest progress on the project to purchase eight Boeing AH-6i Little Bird armed reconnaissance helicopters for the Royal Thai Army is that the Army Aviation Center (AAC) held a ceremony in January 2026 to hand over the AH-6i attack helicopter patches to the first batch of pilots, mechanics, and personnel from various units who passed the system training selection process.

Since signing the approximately $103.8 million (approximately 3,342,589,014 baht) supply contract approved by the U.S. government in 2019, Boeing's Mesa aircraft factory has begun flight testing the first of eight AH-6i armed reconnaissance helicopters for the Royal Thai Army starting in 2024, with the original contract stipulating delivery in 2025.

However, delivery has been postponed to sometime in 2026. The Royal Thai Army will deploy the AH-6i to the 3rd Aviation Battalion, Aviation Regiment, Army Aviation Center after the completion of delivery to Thailand. Boeing will close its AH-6i light attack helicopter production line as there are no further customer orders.

According to the US sales approval documents, eight new AH-6i armed reconnaissance helicopters will replace seven long-serving Bell AH-1F Cobra attack helicopters currently in service at the 3rd Aviation Battalion, Aviation Regiment, Army Aviation Center. The first four of these helicopters entered service with the Royal Thai Army between 1990-1991, with one lost in an accident in 2000.

And to procure another 4 aircraft that had previously served in the US Army in 2012, it is noteworthy that while being procured under the armed reconnaissance helicopter program, similar to the 8 AS550 C3 Fennec (Airbus Helicopters H125M) aircraft stationed at the 1st Aviation Battalion, Army Aviation Department, which have been deployed in actual field operations such as deployment in the southern border region.

In its latest press releases, the Royal Thai Army will refer to the AH-6i as an "Attack Helicopter" (ฮ.จ.) rather than an "Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter" (ฮ.ลว/อว.). This is according to the Royal Thai Army White Paper 2024, which specifies the procurement of new attack helicopters (via the US Foreign Trade Sales (FMS), either the Boeing AH-6E Apache or the Bell AH-1Z Viper) as part of a multi-pronged plan to enhance the Royal Thai Army's aircraft capabilities during the fiscal years 2026-2036.

Kemhan Serahkan Kembali KRI Teluk Kupang-519 ke TNI AL Usai Perbaikan Intensif

Jakarta – Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Indonesia (Kemhan RI) secara resmi menyerahkan kembali KRI Teluk Kupang-519 (KRI TKP-519) kepada TNI Angkatan Laut usai menjalani perbaikan platform secara intensif. Acara serah terima dipimpin oleh Sekretaris Badan Logistik Pertahanan (Ses Baloghan) Kemhan, Laksamana Muda TNI Mochamad Taufiq Hidayat, yang mewakili Kepala Badan Logistik Pertahanan (Kabaloghan) Kemhan, Marsekal Madya TNI Yusuf Jauhari, di Dermaga Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, Jumat (23/1/2026).

Dalam sambutan Kabaloghan Kemhan yang dibacakan oleh Ses Baloghan, mengapresiasi sinergi antara Kemhan, TNI AL, industri pertahanan dalam negeri, dan PT Tesco Indomaritim. Perbaikan yang dilakukan mencakup sektor vital, mulai dari sistem bangunan kapal, pendorong, kelistrikan, keselamatan, hingga akomodasi prajurit. Langkah ini merupakan upaya strategis untuk memastikan alutsista Indonesia selalu dalam kondisi prima.

“Kami berharap hasil perbaikan ini dapat mengembalikan performa KRI TKP-519 ke kondisi optimal, sehingga mampu mendukung pelaksanaan tugas-tugas strategis TNI AL dan memperkuat postur pertahanan laut Indonesia di berbagai medan penugasan,” ujar Ses Baloghan dalam sambutan Kabaloghan Kemhan.

Lebih lanjut, Kemhan berpesan kepada seluruh Anak Buah Kapal (ABK) KRI TKP-519 untuk senantiasa merawat kapal ini agar memiliki usia pakai yang panjang dan selalu siap tempur menjaga kedaulatan NKRI. Rangkaian acara diakhiri dengan peninjauan langsung (ship tour) oleh jajaran pejabat Kemhan dan TNI AL ke berbagai sektor kapal untuk memverifikasi hasil perbaikan. Dengan kembalinya KRI TKP-519 ke jajaran armada, diharapkan semangat Jalesveva Jayamahe semakin kokoh di lautan Nusantara.

TNI AL. Dispen Kormar (Surabaya) Resimen Artileri 2 Marinir menggelar apel organik di lapangan apel Kesatrian Sutedi Senaputra Karangpilang. 

Kegiatan yang bertujuan meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan, disiplin dan profesionalisme prajurit dipimpin oleh Komandan Resimen Artileri 2 Marinir Kolonel Marinir Marhabang, S.H., M. Tr.Hanla., M.M, dihadiri Wadanmenart, Pastaf Resimen, para Dansatlak serta segenap Prajurit dan material kesenjataan Menart 2 Mar. Kamis (29/01).

Pasukan Marinir 2 atau (Pasmar 2) merupakan Komando Pelaksana Utama Korps Marinir, yang meliputi wilayah tengah Indonesia. Pasmar 2 mempunyai tugas pokok, yaitu membina kekuatan dan kemampuan serta kesiapsiagaan operasional sebagai pasukan pendarat TNI Angkatan Laut dalam rangka proyeksi kekuatan ke darat lewat laut, operasi pertahanan pantai di pulau-pulau strategis serta operasi tempur lainnya sesuai kebijakan Panglima TNI.

Australia Delivers New Guardian-class Patrol Boat to the Republic of the Marshall Islands

The Republic of the Marshall Islands has taken delivery of a new Guardian-class Patrol Boat, RMIS Jelmae, in a ceremony at HMAS Stirling, Western Australia.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Hon Kalani Kaneko, received the vessel on behalf of the Government of the Marshall Islands.

Australia and the Marshall Islands share a strong partnership, underpinned by a shared focus on maritime security.

The vessel will strengthen the Marshall Islands’ maritime capability and assist in responding to national and regional priorities.

The vessel will replace Pacific Patrol Boat, RMIS Lomor 03, which was delivered to the Marshall Islands by Australia in 1991. RMIS Lomor 03 was the longest-serving Pacific Patrol Boat, operating for almost 35 years.

RMIS Jelmae is the 23rd vessel delivered under Australia’s Pacific Maritime Security Program – a 30-year commitment with our Pacific partners to support a stable, prosperous and secure region. 

This milestone marks the final delivery of a Guardian-class Patrol Boat to a Pacific partner nation under the Pacific Maritime Security Program.

The Australian Government continues to partner with the Pacific on our shared regional maritime security, through the $5.9 billion invested into the Pacific Maritime Security Program.
