The VN16 amphibious assault vehicle will be the new main force of the Tank Company, the Amphibious Panzer Battalion, Marine Corps (Marine Tank Company, Marine Armored Amphibian Vehicle Battalion, Marine Division, RTMC) to be formed by the dissolution of the Marine Assault Amphibian Battalion, the Marine Corps Battalion and the Marine Tank Battalion.
The VN16 is an export version of the ZTD-05 amphibious light tank in service with the People's Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps (PLAMC: People's Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps). The Royal Thai Marines are the second export customer after the Venezuelan Bolivarian Marine Corps.
Website: The Royal Thai Navy's Central Procurement and Price Information Center has announced a project to purchase 3 amphibious assault vehicles Phase 1 for 398,143,400 baht ($12,579,570.05) from NORINCO, the People's Republic of China in September, 2013.
Norinco, China delivered 3 VN16 amphibious assault vehicles to the Thai Marines within just 8 months since the announcement of the procurement selection, so it's very fast.
It is understood that Thai Marines Royal Thai Navy want to procure VN16 Phase 2, adding 3 more cars to complete 6 cars in the fiscal year 2022 that will begin in October 2021 if the project has not been cut from the impact of Covid-19.

Dari twitter Jatosint, di poskan penampakan pesawat TNI AL NC212-200 Aviocar meluncurkan ranjau laut di laut Jawa.
Pada latihan tersebut pesawat Penerbal membawa bom ranjau laut seberat sekitar 1000 kg dan diluncurkan di perairan Jawa Timur.
