Kontraknja telah ditanda-tangani Presiden Sukarno
Djakarta, Kepala Staf Peperpu Udara Kolonel Siswadi menerangkan atas pertanjaan pers, bahwa AURI akan membeli 5 buah pesawat pengangkut Hercules C 130-B. Kontrak pembelian 5 pesawat tersebut telah pula ditanda-tangani oleh Presiden/Perdana Menteri.
Menurut Siswadi dalam hubungan dengan pembelian pesawat2 tersebut AURI akan mengirim personil2 untuk dilatih di Amerika Serikat guna melajani pesawat2 itu baik mengemudikannja, perawatannja dll. Atas pertanjaan diterangkan, bahwa personil jang akan dikirim itu berdjumlah 6 orang dan pembeajaannja termasuk dalam kontrak pembelian jang telah ditandatangani itu.

Djanuari datang sebuah
Selandjutnja diterangkan, bahwa pada bulan Djanuari 1960 sebuah dari djumlah pesawat tersebut sudah akan tiba di Indonesia sedang jang ampat lainnja akan tiba setjara berangsur-angsur dan akan selesai pada pertengahan tahun 1961.
Atas pertanjaan tentang harga pesawat tersebut Kolonel Siswadi katakan, bahwa harga pesawat tersebut sebuahnja 2 djuta dollar AS lebih sehingga seluruhnja berharga 11 djuta dollar AS lebih.

“Mengikut Pelan Transformasi 15 ke 5 TLDM, ia dijangka akan memiliki 12 buah kapal Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), tiga buah kapal Multi Role Support Ship (MRSS), 18 buah kapal Littoral Mission Ship (LMS), 18 buah kapal Patrol Vessel (PV) dan empat buah kapal selam menjelang tahun 2050,” kata beliau dalam temuramah itu.
Nampak gaya,impian untuk melihat TLDM menambah bilangan kapal selam dimilikinya daripada dua buah kepada empat buah akan hanya direalisasikan menjelang tahun 2050.
