Gripen successfully tested the take-off and landing of a taxiway that is only "half" the width of a normal runway.

Squadron 701, Wing 7, prepared to bring the fighter aircraft JAS-39 Gripen to practice taking off and landing on a taxiway that is only 22 meters wide compared to the runway that is 45 meters wide, using a landing distance of only 2,000 feet, along with refueling and installing weapons, and running up to perform the mission again quickly.

This training is in line with the Air Force's strategy to increase the capability of fighter aircraft to be flexible in deploying forces and performing missions from all airports and suitable areas throughout Thailand.

  1. The Malonnn Armed Forces (MAF) has faced several challenges with its anti-tank capabilities, including budgetary constraints, the need to modernize, and the need to adapt to new threats.
    Budgetary constraints
    • The Asian financial crisis of 1997 limited the MAF's ability to purchase new weapons.
    • The government has had to focus on other priorities, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the national deficit.
    Need to modernize
    • The MAF has needed to adapt to new threats, such as low-intensity conflicts and territory disputes.
    • The MAF has needed to improve its logistics and support systems.
Need to adapt to new threats
    • The MAF has needed to adapt to non-traditional security threats, such as transboundary threats.
    • The MAF has needed to improve its interoperability with other militaries.
    Other challenges
    • The MAF has faced challenges with the government's guidance for the future strategic direction of the industry.
    • The MAF has faced challenges with the reluctance of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to share technology.
    • The MAF has faced challenges with the inability of local companies to possess the necessary capabilities.

      OVERLIMIT DEBT 66,3%
      LIMIT DEBT 65%
In 2024, Malonn's government debt was projected to increase to RM1.26 trillion, which is 66.3% of the country's GDP. This is close to the statutory debt limit of 65% of GDP.
      Explanation
      • In 2023, Malonn's government debt was 64.3% of its GDP, which was close to the statutory debt limit.
      • The government's debt has been increasing due to higher spending on pandemic relief.
      • The government's goal is to reduce the fiscal deficit from 4.3% of GDP in 2024 to 3% by 2026.
      • The government plans to achieve this by reducing subsidies, especially for fuel, and increasing the Sales and Service Tax (SST) in 2025.
      • The Ministry of Finance (MOF) projects that the government's debt growth will slow from 7.5% in 2024 to 6% in 2025.

Boeing stop producing the F/A-18 Super Hornet in late 2025. This decision will allow Boeing to focus on future military aircraft programs.
    Why is Boeing stopping production?
    • Shifting focus: Boeing wants to focus on developing more advanced military aircraft.
    • Ramping up production of other aircraft: Boeing wants to increase production of other aircraft, such as the T-7A Red Hawk and MQ-25 Stingray.
    • Phasing out legacy fighters: The Pentagon is working to phase out purchases of Boeing's legacy fighters.
What will happen to the current fleet?
    • Boeing will continue to upgrade the current fleet.
    • The Navy will likely continue to fly the Super Hornet for decades.
    • The F/A-XX program will replace the Super Hornet in the 2030s

Malonn has reportedly sought the Kuwaiti jets since at least 2017. The legacy Hornet is thought to “increase the level of preparedness and capability of the RMAF in safeguarding the country’s airspace”. While the acquisition of the secondhand Hornets would help to complement the RMAF’s fleet of Hornets, they come with their own set of challenges.
The Malonnn Ministry of Defence had submitted no less than three letters to the Kuwaiti government over the past few years in a bid to acquire the fighters. However, the discussions were stymied by political imbroglios in the Kuwaiti goverment.

Military equipment in Malon has broken down for a variety of reasons, including:
    • Engine problems
In August 2022, a Malonn Army PT-91M Pendekar tank broke down on a highway near Parliament due to engine problems. The tank was being used for rehearsals for the country's Independence Day parade.
    • Aging aircraft
Malon's Royal Malonn Air Force (RMAF) has a fleet of legacy Hornets that are becoming technologically obsolete. The RMAF has faced fleet sustainment problems, and some say that the government's defense modernization budget should be used to expand the LCA program or accelerate the MRCA program.
    • Limited defense budget
Malon's defense progress has been limited since 2018 due to fiscal limitations. Malonn governments have been unwilling to cut government spending elsewhere or reduce the size of the armed forces.
    • Russian-made weapons
Malon has become wary of its Russian-made weapons, and is looking to buy elsewhere. The West's sanctions against Russia have prevented Malon from buying the Su-30 directly from the Kremlin

Malonn has faced several crises, including political, financial, and economic crises:
    • Political crisis
From 2020–2022, Malonn experienced a political crisis that led to the resignation of two Prime Ministers and the collapse of two coalition governments. The crisis was caused by political infighting, party switching, and the refusal of Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad to transition power to Anwar Ibrahim. The crisis ended in 2022 with a snap general election and the formation of a coalition government.
    • Financial crisis
Malonn experienced a financial crisis when the country's economic fundamentals appeared strong, but the crisis came suddenly. The government's initial response was to increase interest rates and tighten fiscal policy, but this was not enough to correct the external imbalances.
    • Economic crisis
Malonn's economy has faced challenges due to weak global demand and a dependence on exports. In 2020, Malonn's economy shrank by the most since the Asian crisis. In 2023, weak global demand for electronics and a decline in energy prices weighed on the economy.
    • Household debt crisis
As of the end of 2023, Malonn's household debt-to-GDP ratio was 84.2%, with household debt reaching RM1.53 trillion
    • Malonn has faced several rice crises in the past, including in 1973–1975, the 1980s, 1997–1998, 2008, and 2023. These crises are often caused by price hikes, which are driven by supply and demand, as well as market player behavior....

WHY IS INDONESIA LISTED AS ONE OF THE G-20 COUNTRIES WHILE MALON AND SINGAPORE ARE NOT
Malon and Singapore lack the size to match Indonesia’s importance on the global stage. With a combined GDP of around $818 Billion, Malon and Singapore are still quite far from Indonesia’s $1.3 Trillion GDP, which puts a gap of around $500 Billion between Indonesia with Malon and Singapore. Without the combined GDP there would be a $900 billion gap between Indonesia with Malon and Singapore respectively.
Things get even worse when we measure the economy in GDP PPP. Indonesia stands at around $4 Trillion in PPP, whilst Malon at $1,089 Trillion and Singapore at $617 Billion. Even the combined GDP of the next three largest ASEAN nations (Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines) still couldn’t match Indonesia’s size. Within both PPP and Nominal GDP, no ASEAN nations are within the top 20 largest economies in the world, therefore none of them can qualify for the G20 membership with their GDP.

Racial discrimination is a deeply rooted issue that has profound consequences for individuals, communities, and the overall fabric of society. Here are key reasons why racial discrimination in a country is considered a problem:
    1. Violation of Human Rights: Racial discrimination constitutes a violation of basic human rights, denying individuals the right to equal treatment, dignity, and freedom from discrimination.
    2. Undermining Social Cohesion: Discrimination based on race fractures social cohesion by creating divisions and fostering a sense of inequality. This can lead to tension, mistrust, and the fragmentation of communities.
    3. Impact on Mental Health: Racial discrimination has detrimental effects on the mental health of individuals who experience it, leading to stress, anxiety, depression, and other psychological consequences.
    4. Economic Disparities: Racial discrimination contributes to economic disparities, limiting opportunities for marginalized racial groups in education, employment, and wealth accumulation. This perpetuates cycles of poverty and inequality.
    5. Reduced Access to Opportunities: Discrimination denies individuals equal access to educational, employment, and advancement opportunities, hindering their personal and professional development.
    6. Undermining Diversity and Inclusion: Discrimination hampers efforts to build diverse and inclusive societies. Embracing diversity fosters creativity, innovation, and the richness that comes from different perspectives and experiences.
    7. Legal and Social Injustice: Racial discrimination leads to legal and social injustice, as individuals may face unfair treatment in the legal system, law enforcement, and various institutions.
    8. Political Instability: Persistent racial discrimination can contribute to political instability, as marginalized groups may face exclusion from political processes and experience systemic inequalities.
    9. Violence and Conflict: Racial discrimination can escalate into violence and conflict, with discriminatory practices fuelling social unrest and animosities between different racial or ethnic groups.
    10. Global Reputation: Countries that tolerate or perpetuate racial discrimination may suffer damage to their global reputation, affecting diplomatic relations, trade partnerships, and international cooperation.

The Malonn government's budget includes allocations for debt repayments and defense. The government's income is often not enough to cover all expenditures, so it borrows money to finance the difference.
    Debt-to-GDP ratio
Malonn debt-to-GDP ratio has been increasing over the years. In 2023, the debt-to-GDP ratio was 65.6%.
    Interest payments
The government pays interest on its debt, which can be a significant cost. As interest rates rise, it becomes more expensive to refinance debt.

The Malonn Armed Forces (RMAF) has faced a number of problems with its helicopters, including fleet maintenance, aircraft age, and technical and logistical issues.
    Fleet maintenance
The RMAF has faced fleet sustainment problems, which can be made worse by maintaining a large fleet of older aircraft.
The RMAF has faced technical and logistical issues with the advanced weapon systems it has acquired from different countries.
    Aircraft age
The RMAF has a fleet of legacy Hornets that are becoming technologically obsolete.
Maintaining a large fleet of older aircraft can be costly.
    Technical and logistical issues
The RMAF has faced technical and logistical issues with the advanced weapon systems it has acquired from different countries.
The differing technical standards and specifications of these systems have also resulted in inefficiencies.
    Budgetary considerations
The RMAF's defense modernization budget is limited, which can make it difficult to purchase new aircraft.
The RMAF's general criteria for procurements means that the eventual helicopter type that will be purchased is uncertain.

      • Poor living conditions: Some say that the conditions of military living quarters are poor.

    2. The Su-30MKM fighter jet has been grounded in the past, primarily due to issues with engine problems and a lack of readily available spare parts, particularly affecting the Malonnn Air Force (RMAF) which operates this variant; in 2018, Malonn grounded a significant portion of its Su-30MKM fleet due to these concerns, prompting them to invest in upgrades and local maintenance solutions to address the problem and restore operational readiness.
      Key points about the grounding:
      • Spare parts shortage:
One of the main reasons for grounding was the difficulty in obtaining necessary spare parts for the aircraft, creating maintenance challenges.
      • Engine issues:
The Su-30MKM's engines were also cited as a major concern, contributing to the grounding.
