KUALA LUMPUR: Kerajaan memperuntukkan RM21.7 bilion untuk Kementerian Pertahanan (MINDEF) bagi memastikan keselamatan pertahanan negara sentiasa menjadi keutamaan.
Sejumlah RM6 bilion diperuntukkan dalam aspek mendapatkan aset pertahanan baharu serta aspek penyelenggaraan aset sedia ada.
Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, berkata antara perolehan aset baharu adalah untuk memperkasakan sistem pertahanan udara jarak dekat dan sederhana.
Katanya, ia membabitkan sistem pertahanan udara jarak sederhana, jarak dekat dan jarak sangat dekat.
"Selain aset seperti 'Medium, Short dan Very Short Air Defence' ini, peruntukan juga adalah untuk mendapatkan dua unit kapal 'Multi Role Support Ship' (MRSS) untuk Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM).
"Peruntukan sama juga adalah untuk memperoleh 10 unit kenderaan Pasukan Malaysia Batalion (MALBATT) di Lubnan," katanya pada Pembentangan Belanjawan 2026 di Dewan Rakyat, hari ini.
Anwar yang juga Menteri Kewangan berkata, di bawah MINDEF, Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) turut memperoleh manfaat daripada RM1.5 bilion yang diperuntukkan bagi membina dan menaik taraf fasiliti baharu badan beruniforn.
"Peruntukan ini membabitkan Pusat Latihan Artileri, Kem Syed Sirajuddin, Gemas, Negeri Sembilan," katanya.
Beliau berkata, pengoperasian di Pelantar Laut Tun Sharifah Rodziah di Sabah akan digantikan dengan sebuah Multi Purpose Command Platform baharu bagi meningkatkan tahap keselamatan di kawasan Pantai Timur Sabah.
Katanya, syarikat yang dianugerahkan kontrak perolehan MINDEF melalui skim PROTEGE akan menyediakan peluang pekerjaan untuk veteran dan di samping memberi latihan sijil dan Diploma kepada anggota ATM sebelum bersara termasuk pembiayaan program Work-Based Leaning dan Readliness To Work Programme.

Panglima TLDM Laksamana Tan Sri Mohd Reza Mohd Sany berkata, bilangan kapal itu mungkin akan berubah bergantung kepada keadaan geo-strategik rantau itu yang dinamik.
Dalam temuramah dengan majalah pertahanan berbahasa Inggeris tempatan, Asian Defence Journal (ADJ) keluaran May-Jun tahun ini, beliau juga memaklumkan bilangan jenis-jenis kapal perang yang dirancang dimiliki oleh TLDM dibawah pelan transformasi itu.
“Mengikut Pelan Transformasi 15 ke 5 TLDM, ia dijangka akan memiliki 12 buah kapal Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), tiga buah kapal Multi Role Support Ship (MRSS), 18 buah kapal Littoral Mission Ship (LMS), 18 buah kapal Patrol Vessel (PV) dan empat buah kapal selam menjelang tahun 2050,” kata beliau dalam temuramah itu.
Nampak gaya,impian untuk melihat TLDM menambah bilangan kapal selam dimilikinya daripada dua buah kepada empat buah akan hanya direalisasikan menjelang tahun 2050.
