Saab memamerkan model Kapal Misi Pesisir (LMV) di Estonian Defence Week Expo 2025 yang diselenggarakan di Tallinn pada 24-25 September. Saab dan ST Engineering mengusulkan kapal tersebut untuk Angkatan Laut Estonia.
Seorang perwakilan Saab di stan perusahaan mengatakan kepada Janes pada 24 September bahwa Estonia dapat ditawari pembagian kerja sebesar 30-50% di LMV, termasuk membangun lambungnya di galangan kapal Estonia, dengan Saab menyediakan superstrukturnya.
Seorang juru bicara Saab mengatakan kepada Janes pada 29 September, “Saab Swedia dan ST Engineering dari Singapura kembali bekerja sama untuk menawarkan varian Kapal Misi Litoral bagi Angkatan Laut Estonia. Kapal sepanjang 80 m ini dioperasikan oleh Angkatan Laut Republik Singapura [RSN] dalam bentuk kelas Independence, delapan di antaranya merupakan kapal-kapal utama RSN, di mana desain dasar dan superstruktur kompositnya disediakan oleh Saab Kockums di Karlskrona, Swedia, dan ST Engineering Marine melakukan desain detail dan konstruksi di Singapura.
Sambil menunggu rencana 10 tahun mendatang untuk pengembangan Angkatan Laut Estonia, Saab dan ST Engineering saat ini sedang bekerja keras mencari mitra lokal yang dapat memberikan nilai tambah bagi produksi kapal – kemungkinan termasuk membangun lambung kapal di dalam negeri – dan memastikan penawaran akhir akan memenuhi semua persyaratan konten lokal yang diharapkan.”
