Navy Region 1 of VPN Successfully Completed the Live-fire Drills with Guns and Artillery at Sea in 2024

From September 17 to 19, in the waters of Quang Ninh, Naval Region 1 organized live-fire exercises with guns and cannons at sea in 2024.

Participating in the live-fire exercise were the ship squadrons of Brigade 169 and Brigade 170. The ship squadrons conducted combat shooting, shooting at low-flying aircraft and shooting at moving targets at night.

Before practicing shooting exercises, the units thoroughly grasped and strictly followed the plan of the Regional Command, made good preparations in all aspects of human resources, ships, weapons, equipment, food and provisions; organized training to master shooting exercises and conducted Party and political activities close to the actual situation of the tasks; built high motivation and determination for the troops.

During the shooting exercises, officers and soldiers strictly followed the commander's orders; performed the movements correctly; remained calm and confident, destroyed the target right from the first round of bullets, and excellently completed the mission.

The live-fire exercise at sea this time aims to test the combat readiness of ships and fleets; the command, coordination, control and use of guns and cannons of officers and soldiers on board; on that basis, to draw lessons and propose measures to improve training quality to meet mission requirements in the coming time.

As a result, the ships completed 100% of the live-fire content, ensuring safety of people and technical equipment. (QDND)

Naval Region 5 Command tests live ammunition firing at sea

On the morning of October 1, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the fleets of the Naval Region 5 Command docked at the Region 5 military port, concluding the live-fire test at sea.

Previously, on September 30, at Hon Anh Dong Shooting Range ( Kien Giang ), combat ship squadrons of Brigade 127, Brigade 175, Naval Region 5 Command practiced live-fire exercises 5a, 5b (using weapons in the inventory to destroy targets in the air and at sea during the day and at night).

In order for the live-fire test to take place as planned and achieve the set goals and requirements, the Naval Region 5 Command coordinated with local authorities and relevant agencies to notify fishermen not to exploit seafood in unsafe areas; at the same time, dozens of ships and boats were organized to clean the shooting range and provide warning for the combat ship squadrons to carry out their missions.

During the live-fire practice, officers and soldiers of the ships strictly followed the commander's orders and safety rules; skillfully implemented combat layout tables; skillfully operated and used technical equipment; calmly, and confidently destroyed targets right from the first rounds of fire.

The live-fire session aims to test the combat readiness of the ships; the level of command and control of the ship by the staff; the basic movements and skills of the soldiers in using weapons; the results of the training in coordination in combat support of the ship formations; the technical condition, features and synchronous operation of the technical equipment, on that basis, draw experience and supplement the combat plan and training plan of the unit in the coming time.

The shooting test results were 100% good and excellent; the unit was absolutely safe. (QDND)
