Situs VietDefense pada unggahan 2 Agustus 2024 lalu memuat foto drone Black Hornet yang telah digunakan oleh Kepolisian Vietnam.
Drone intai Black Hornet buatan Teledyne FLIR yang berukuran nano ini memang cocok untuk operasi rahasia termasuk peperangan di kota karena ukurannya yang relati kecil. Untuk digunakan oleh Angkatan Darat Vietnam hanya tinggal waktu saja fotonya akan muncul karena sejatinya ini adalah drone berkualifikasi militer.
Seperti juga di Indonesia, foto pertama yang muncul adalah penggunaan Black Hornet untuk Brigade Mobil Kepolisian RI pada tahun 2018, barulah belakangan muncul foto dari Batalyon Perhubungan dan kemudian disusul dengan Batalyon Infanteri TNI AD.
Dengan harga per unit setiap drone berdasarkan kontrak sebelumnya dengan negara lain yang masing-masing berkisar antara US$80.000 hingga $195.000, beberapa negara di kawasan telah menggunakan drone ini, tercatat Australia, pasukan khusus New Zealand, dan pasukan khusus GGK dari Malaysia juga telah menggunakan drone ini.

Kekuatan paspor Indonesia Menurut The Passport Index per Selasa (20/8/2024), kekuatan paspor Indonesia berada di peringkat 57 dengan rincian 49 negara bebas visa, 42 negara visa on arrival atau visa kedatangan, dan 107 negara yang membutuhkan visa. Paspor terkuat di Asia dan di dunia dimiliki oleh Uni Emirat Arab (UEA) dengan 134 negara bebas visa, 45 negara visa di kedatangan, dan hanya 19 negara yang membutuhkan visa. Sementara itu, peringkat berikutnya ditempati Spanyol, Perancis, Jerman, Italia, Belanda, dan Swiss. Di kawasan Asia Tenggara, Singapura menjadi negara dengan paspor terkuat dengan 138 negara bebas visa, 36 memerlukan visa kedatangan, dan 24 membutuhkan visa. Malaysia's first foreign Islamic bank Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Bhd (KFH Malaysia) is exiting Malaysia after 19 years of operation.
In a statement today, the group said Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad (KFHMB) will be closed, aligned with its international business strategic review to focus and expand its regional market in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Middle East.

Singapura telah mengumumkan anggaran pertahanan sebesar SGD20,25 miliar (USD15 miliar) untuk tahun 2024. Pengeluaran baru, yang diumumkan pada 16 Februari, merupakan peningkatan sebesar 13% dari anggaran pertahanan awal untuk tahun 2023 dan peningkatan sebesar 2,5% dari alokasi revisi sebesar SGD19,76 miliar.
Anggaran pertahanan tahun 2024 mencakup untuk operasi sebesar SGD19,34 miliar (95,5% dari total pengeluaran), yang merupakan peningkatan sebesar 2,4% dibandingkan alokasi yang direvisi pada tahun 2023. Hampir seluruh anggaran operasi pada tahun 2024 – SGD19,28 miliar – ditujukan untuk Angkatan Bersenjata Singapura (SAF).

With Budget 2024, Malaysia’s military will get some but not all of what it wants, as the government runs a tight budget focused on uplifting the socio-economic well-being of citizens while trying to ensure fiscal discipline as it aims to narrow the deficit to 4.3% of GDP by end-2024 (from 5%)
