Babcock, in partnership with ST Engineering, a technology, defence and engineering Group, has unveiled its 120mm Ground Deployed Advanced Mortar System (GDAMS) at DVD 2024. Based on the world-leading technology of ST Engineering, the 120mm GDAMS is a vehicle-mounted, hinged mortar system developed to address the urgent requirement to enhance UK Armed Forces weaponry.
The mortar system is a result of close collaboration between Babcock and ST Engineering, bringing together complementary skills, technologies and solutions to strengthen the next generation of UK’s close indirect fire weapon systems.
The GDAMS will be built at our production facility in Devonport, Plymouth, using a UK supply chain, making it the first UK-manufactured 120mm mortar systems in decades.
If selected for the UK in-direct fires programme, production of the 120mm GDAMS will deliver tangible benefits to the broader South West region, through the upskilling of our existing workforce in Plymouth and certainty for the regional supply chain. Establishing and operating the 120mm GDAMS production line will also create up to 70 new skilled Babcock roles locally.
Based in the South Devon Freeport Zone, the production facility also supports future export opportunities from the UK, enabling better import terms for allied nations whilst simultaneously delivering social value and aligning with the UK’s Land Industrial Strategy.

In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018).
“The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.

TANK PT91 MUDAH ROSAK
HapusIt appeared that tanks with similar mileage (19 000 km) showed different results. Distance between failures of the PT-91 was only 25 km and it took on average 3.2 days to repair the tank. On the other hand distance between failures of the Leopard 2A4 tank was 174 km and it took on average 1.3 days to repair the tank. Most failures of the PT-91 Twardy were related to its engine, electrical installation, armament, fire control system, and communication systems. So the ageing PT-91 tanks can be seen as rather unreliable combat vehicles, that are troublesome to keep in operational order.

The level of financial literacy among Malaysians is still low. The study found that 69 per cent prefer spending over saving, leading to a lack of savings for emergencies. Moreover, 47 per cent admitted to having difficulty setting aside RM1,000 for emergencies.".

The Finance Ministry stated that the aggregate national household debt stood at RM1.53 trillion between 2018 and 2023. In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,”

HapusKuala Lumpur (ANTARA) - Divisi Intelijen dan Komunikasi Strategis Markas Besar Angkatan Bersenjata Malaysia dalam sebuah keterangan di Kuala Lumpur, Jumat, menyatakan telah terjadi insiden penyerangan oleh warga sipil terhadap dua kendaraan militer dari Malaysia Battalion 850-11 (Malbatt 850-11) di Lebanon pada Rabu (18/9).
BalasHapusDalam keterangan untuk media itu, disebutkan bahwa peristiwa tersebut terjadi sekitar pukul 17.32 waktu Lebanon (pukul 22.32 WIB), saat dua kendaraan Malbatt 850-11 Fitted For Radio (FFR) yang ditumpangi tiga petugas dan tujuh anggota barisan lainnya dalam perjalanan kembali ke Kamp Marakah.
Konvoi dua kendaraan itu dilakukan setelah menyelesaikan tugas perlindungan pasukan di Kamp Shama, Markas Pasukan Interim Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa di Lebanon (UNIFIL).
Keterangan itu menyebutkan saat kendaraan melewati jalur Tes Road-Burj Al Qibli di kota Tirus, terjadi kemacetan yang luar biasa.
Banyak warga sipil yang sedang mengatur lalu lintas dimana banyak ambulans dan mobil pemadam kebakaran melintas dari kedua arah
Tiba-tiba, sekelompok warga sipil bertindak agresif dan berusaha menghentikan kedua kendaraan Malbatt.
Hampir 30 warga sipil kemudian melemparkan batu dan menyayat seluruh ban kendaraan Malbatt menggunakan senjata tajam.
Untuk menghindari kejadian yang lebih buruk, ketua pergerakan memerintahkan kedua kendaraan untuk berhenti di pinggir jalan yang aman dan tetap berada di dalam kendaraan menunggu bantuan.
Angkatan Bersenjata Lebanon (LAF) tiba di lokasi dan selanjutnya berhasil mengendalikan situasi.
LAF, menurut keterangan tersebut, juga membantu mengoordinasikan “loader” untuk membawa kembali kendaraan dan anggota Malbatt ke Kamp Marakah.
Seluruh anggota dan kendaraan mereka tiba di Kamp Marakah dengan selamat pada pukul 19.39 waktu Lebanon (pukul 00.39 WIB).
Tidak ada korban luka yang diderita petugas Malbatt dan anggota yang terlibat, namun kedua kendaraan mengalami beberapa kerusakan.
Malbatt 850-11 akan melanjutkan tugas rutin sebagaimana diamanatkan UNIFIL.
Angkatan Bersenjata Malaysia meminta seluruh pihak untuk tidak membuat spekulasi apapun atas kejadian yang dapat mencerminkan citra mereka khususnya dan Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia pada umumnya.
