KUALA LUMPUR: The sanctions against Russia by the United States and European Union countries have affected the maintenance of Malaysia's fleet of 18 Sukhoi Su-30MKM Flanker combat aircraft.
But Malaysia has enough supply of parts to keep the Sukhois airworthy for the next three years, said Aerospace Technology Systems Corporation Sdn Bhd (ATSC) chief executive officer, Lt Col (Rtd) Datuk Mohd Fadzar Suhada.
ATSC, a subsidiary of National Aerospace and Defence Industries Sdn Bhd, maintains the Royal Malaysian Air Force's (RMAF) Flanker fleet.
"In the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, we had a parts stockpile amounting to RM7 million. By the end of 2023, our parts inventory had increased to RM13 million. This is good for about three years," Fadzar said.
Besides Russia, parts were also sourced from India, a major user of the Su-30, with 272 examples of the MKI variant operated by the Indian Air Force. Fadzar told the New Straits Times this on the sidelines of the 9th Eastern Economic Forum here on Wednesday.
He was commenting on whether the global economic sanctions against Russia in light of its war with Ukraine had affected Malaysia's ability to obtain spares, parts, services, and technical input from Moscow.
"Sanctions against Russia have affected our supply chain. We are adjusting, but we are managing well since most of the maintenance work is done locally," Fadzar said.

The Finance Ministry stated that the aggregate national household debt stood at RM1.53 trillion between 2018 and 2023. In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.
The ministry was replying Labis MP, Pang Hok Liong in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday who asked the ministry to reveal the country’s aggregate household debt between 2018 and 2023.
For the period from 2018 to 2023, the ministry said the average annual growth of household debt was 5.1%. Other household debts included vehicle loans at 13.2%, personal financing (12.6%) and loans for other purposes, including non-residential property purchases, credit card debt, securities and others.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Defence borrowed Avanti’s Artemis satellite in November 2016 to prevent losing L-band spectrum rights at the 123 degrees east orbital slot previously held by Garuda-1, a 15-year-old satellite Indonesia deorbited in 2015.
Indonesia had agreed to pay Avanti $30 million for the relocation and use of the Artemis satellite, but stopped making payments after giving Avanti just $13.2 million of what it owed.

"Hutang telah mencecah, liabiliti dan hutang kerajaan RM1.5 trilion. Iaitu 82% kepada KDNK. Untuk memperincinya, hutang kerajaan RM1079.6 trilion termasuk komitmen jaminan (hutang) RM205.9 bilion. 1MDB RM18.2 bilion dan liabiliti lain RM4142.2. Jumlah RM1445.9 trilion.
"Hutang Kerajaan Persekutuan telah mencecah RM60.4%. Dia termasuk khidmat hutang. (Pada) 2022 kita bayar khidmat hutang RM41 bilion dan 2023 RM46 bilion.
"Peratus hasil 2022 sebanyak 14%, 2023 16%. Ini hanya membayar faedah bukan membayar hutang tertunggak," katanya menjawab pertanyaan Ahli Parlimen Wong Kah Woh (PH - Taiping).

The Finance Ministry stated that the aggregate national household debt stood at RM1.53 trillion between 2018 and 2023. In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.
The ministry was replying Labis MP, Pang Hok Liong in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday who asked the ministry to reveal the country’s aggregate household debt between 2018 and 2023.
For the period from 2018 to 2023, the ministry said the average annual growth of household debt was 5.1%. Other household debts included vehicle loans at 13.2%, personal financing (12.6%) and loans for other purposes, including non-residential property purchases, credit card debt, securities and others.

"Hutang telah mencecah, liabiliti dan hutang kerajaan RM1.5 trilion. Iaitu 82% kepada KDNK. Untuk memperincinya, hutang kerajaan RM1079.6 trilion termasuk komitmen jaminan (hutang) RM205.9 bilion. 1MDB RM18.2 bilion dan liabiliti lain RM4142.2. Jumlah RM1445.9 trilion.
"Hutang Kerajaan Persekutuan telah mencecah RM60.4%. Dia termasuk khidmat hutang. (Pada) 2022 kita bayar khidmat hutang RM41 bilion dan 2023 RM46 bilion.
"Peratus hasil 2022 sebanyak 14%, 2023 16%. Ini hanya membayar faedah bukan membayar hutang tertunggak," katanya menjawab pertanyaan Ahli Parlimen Wong Kah Woh (PH - Taiping).

In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.
The ministry was replying Labis MP, Pang Hok Liong in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday who asked the ministry to reveal the country’s aggregate household debt between 2018 and 2023.
For the period from 2018 to 2023, the ministry said the average annual growth of household debt was 5.1%. 2024 = KUALA LUMPUR: Housing loans made up the largest chunk of household debt in Malaysia at 60.5%, it was revealed. The Finance Ministry stated that the aggregate national household debt stood at RM1.53 trillion between 2018 and 2023. In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.
The ministry was replying Labis MP, Pang Hok Liong in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday who asked the ministry to reveal the country’s aggregate household debt between 2018 and 2023.
For the period from 2018 to 2023, the ministry said the average annual growth of household debt was 5.1%. Other household debts included vehicle loans at 13.2%, personal financing (12.6%) and loans for other purposes, including non-residential property purchases, credit card debt, securities and others.

"Hutang telah mencecah, liabiliti dan hutang kerajaan RM1.5 trilion. Iaitu 82% kepada KDNK. Untuk memperincinya, hutang kerajaan RM1079.6 trilion termasuk komitmen jaminan (hutang) RM205.9 bilion. 1MDB RM18.2 bilion dan liabiliti lain RM4142.2. Jumlah RM1445.9 trilion.

Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, program pemeliharaan dilaksanakan selama Rencana Malaysia ke-12 (RM ke-12) dan RM ke-13.
Menteri Pertahanan Dato' Seri Utama Mohamad Hasan menyatakan, program pemeliharaan tersebut meliputi Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) dan Mid Life Upgrade Program (MLU).
“Kementerian Pertahanan telah merencanakan program pemeliharaan terjadwal untuk memastikan Su-30MKM dapat beroperasi penuh dan menjamin keberlangsungan operasinya hingga tahun 2035.
“Saat ini Su-30MKM sedang menjalani perawatan SLEP di bawah RM ke-12 dan selanjutnya akan melalui MLU di RM ke-13,” kata Menhan dalam balasan tertulis kepada Anggota DPR Lumut, Panglima Nordin Ahmad Ismail TLDM (Purnawirawan) di Dewan Rakyat.
Periode RM ke-12 dimulai pada tahun 2021 dan berakhir pada tahun 2025. Sedangkan RM ke-13 dimulai pada tahun 2026.

In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.

Other household debts included vehicle loans at 13.2%, personal financing (12.6%) and loans for other purposes, including non-residential property purchases, credit card debt, securities and others.

2024 = KUALA LUMPUR: Housing loans made up the largest chunk of household debt in Malaysia at 60.5%, it was revealed. The Finance Ministry stated that the aggregate national household debt stood at RM1.53 trillion between 2018 and 2023. In aggregate, it said the household debt for 2022 was RM1.45 trillion, followed by RM1.38 trillion (2021,) RM1.32 trillion (2020), RM1.25 trillion (2019) and RM1.19 trillion (2018). “The ratio of household debt to gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2023 also slightly increased to 84.2% compared with 82% in 2018,” it said.
The ministry was replying Labis MP, Pang Hok Liong in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday who asked the ministry to reveal the country’s aggregate household debt between 2018 and 2023.
For the period from 2018 to 2023, the ministry said the average annual growth of household debt was 5.1%. Other household debts included vehicle loans at 13.2%, personal financing (12.6%) and loans for other purposes, including non-residential property purchases, credit card debt, securities and others.

Malaysia Plan, 2021-2025 (Twelfth Plan), the Government maintained the statutory debt limit at 65% of GDP under the Loan (Local) (Statutory Ceiling for Borrowing) and Government Funding (Statutory Ceiling of Moneys Received) Order 2022 [P.U. (A) 399/2022] which came into effect on 1 January 2023. As at end-August 2023, the Federal Government statutory debt which comprises MGS, MGII and MITB recorded 59.9% of GDP, below the stipulated debt ceiling.

The reality is that, due to budget constraints, Malaysia’s military will continue to struggle to procure the equipment needed. Kemudian pada 2022 berkurang menjadi 5,6 persen, ketika pemerintah juga meningkatkan pagu utang dari 60 persen menjadi 65 persen dari PDB

2023 = "Hutang telah mencecah, liabiliti dan hutang kerajaan RM1.5 trilion. Iaitu 82% kepada KDNK. Untuk memperincinya, hutang kerajaan RM1079.6 trilion termasuk komitmen jaminan (hutang) RM205.9 bilion. 1MDB RM18.2 bilion dan liabiliti lain RM4142.2. Jumlah RM1445.9 trilion.
"Hutang Kerajaan Persekutuan telah mencecah RM60.4%. Dia termasuk khidmat hutang. (Pada) 2022 kita bayar khidmat hutang RM41 bilion dan 2023 RM46 bilion.
"Peratus hasil 2022 sebanyak 14%, 2023 16%. Ini hanya membayar faedah bukan membayar hutang tertunggak," katanya menjawab pertanyaan Ahli Parlimen Wong Kah Woh (PH - Taiping).
