KUALA LUMPUR
(Bernama) -- The Defence Ministry has began probing the acquisition of the
Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV), its minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid
Hamidi said.
He said
legal actions would also be taken against those involved in any
misappropriation in the purchase of the vehicles.

"I have
been collecting evidence from the preliminary investigation and if the
allegation by Sultan Ibrahim of Johor is proven right, legal action will be
taken against the supplier.
“The ministry
will not compromise with anyone. If misappropriation is involved in the
purchase of the RIV, we will take action,” he said in response to the vast
difference in prices of the RIV supplied to the Special Forces Regiment as
mentoned by Sultan Ibrahim last Saturday.
