Indonesia telah mengamankan fasilitas pinjaman untuk mendanai akuisisi dua kapal patroli lepas pantai multiperan (Pattugliatore Polivalente d'Altura: PPA) dari pembuat kapal Italia Fincantieri, sumber yang dekat dengan masalah tersebut telah mengonfirmasi kepada Janes.
Proses sindikasi pinjaman untuk fasilitas senilai USD1,25 miliar tersebut dipimpin oleh BNP Paribas dengan melibatkan Crédit Agricole dan didukung oleh lembaga keuangan-asuransi Italia SACE, menurut dokumen yang diberikan oleh sumber tersebut.
Dokumen-dokumen ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa pemerintah Indonesia akan menamai dua PPA-nya KRI Brawijaya dan KRI Prabu Siliwangi dengan nomor lambung masing-masing 320 dan 321.
Dengan demikian, kapal-kapal ini akan diaplikasikan dengan tanda dek penerbangan masing-masing BWJ dan PBS, dokumen tersebut mengungkapkan.
Upacara penandatanganan formal untuk fasilitas tersebut diharapkan akan berlangsung antara Kementerian Keuangan Indonesia dan pemberi pinjaman bersama sebelum akhir tahun 2024.
Fincantieri mengungkapkan pada bulan Maret 2024 bahwa mereka telah menandatangani kontrak senilai EUR1,18 miliar (USD1,29) untuk dua PPA dengan Kementerian Pertahanan Indonesia.
PPA adalah kelas kapal perang 143 m yang dapat dikonfigurasi untuk berbagai misi mulai dari operasi pengawasan maritim bertempo rendah disebut ‘light’ hingga skenario pertempuran tingkat tinggi ‘full combat’.
Tergantung pada konfigurasinya, masing-masing kapal memiliki bobot antara 5.800 dan 6.300 ton.
Sejauh ini, Angkatan Laut Italia telah menugaskan tiga kapal sebagai kelas Thaon Di Revel, dan kapal-kapal ini dilantik antara Maret 2022 dan September 2023.
Untuk kontrak yang ditandatangani dengan Indonesia, PPA yang akan dipasok awalnya ditujukan untuk Angkatan Laut Italia, kata Fincantieri dalam pernyataannya, dan kemungkinan akan dipasok dalam konfigurasi 'light plus'.

NGEMIS RONGSOK USCG KM Stapa – pennant number 2602- caught fire while undergoing maintenance at a shipyard in Miri, Sarawak last night. The ship was docked at the Palau Slipways Sdn Bhd shipyard in Kuala Baram when the incident occurred.
Stapa is a 26 meter long patrol boat which was transferred from the Fisheries Department.

NGEMIS RONGSOK USCG KM Stapa – pennant number 2602- caught fire while undergoing maintenance at a shipyard in Miri, Sarawak last night. The ship was docked at the Palau Slipways Sdn Bhd shipyard in Kuala Baram when the incident occurred.
Stapa is a 26 meter long patrol boat which was transferred from the Fisheries Department.
