Jakarta (ANTARA) - Kepala Staf Angkatan Laut India Laksamana Dinesh K Tripathi menjajaki peluang kolaborasi teknologi rudal BrahMos dengan Kepala Staf TNI Angkatan Laut (KSAL) Laksamana TNI Muhammad Ali dan Menteri Pertahanan (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.
Dalam rangkaian lawatannya di Jakarta awal pekan ini, Laksamana Tripathi menemui KSAL Laksamana Ali di Markas Besar TNI AL, Cilangkap, Jakarta, kemudian pimpinan Angkatan Laut India itu lanjut menemui Menhan Sjafrie di Kantor Kementerian Pertahanan, Jakarta.
Laksamana Ali, saat ditemui pada sela-sela kegiatannya di Jakarta, Selasa, menjelaskan peluang kolaborasi teknologi pertahanan, salah satunya rudal BrahMos, memang menjadi salah satu topik diskusi dalam pertemuannya dengan Tripathi, Senin (16/12).
Walaupun demikian, Ali enggan berkomentar banyak, terutama terkait kemungkinan adanya rencana pembelian rudal BrahMos, karena urusan pengadaan alutsista menjadi kewenangan Kementerian Pertahanan (Kemenhan) RI.

"Untuk masalah alutsista terkait dengan rudal BrahMos, memang ini menjadi salah satu opsi, kemungkinan. Kami masih meninjau apakah itu yang akan dipilih oleh Kementerian Pertahanan, tetapi nanti semuanya Kementerian Pertahanan yang mengatur," kata KSAL menjawab pertanyaan wartawan.
Dia melanjutkan secara umum dirinya dan Laksamana Tripathi membahas peningkatan kerja sama pertahanan, terutama antar-angkatan laut. Ali menyebut TNI AL dan Angkatan Laut India sejauh ini rutin menggelar patroli bersama di perairan perbatasan, kemudian latihan-latihan bersama baik yang sifatnya bilateral maupun multilateral.
"Hubungan kami dengan India secara umum sangat baik, dan kerja sama di seluruh bidang akan kami tingkatkan," ujar Laksamana Ali.
Sementara itu, terkait isi pertemuan antara Laksamana Tripathi dan Menhan Sjafrie, Kementerian Pertahanan RI dalam siaran resminya menyebut keduanya berdiskusi mengenai peningkatan kerja sama pertahanan, termasuk latihan-latihan bersama antara TNI AL dan Angkatan Laut India.

Laksamana Tripathi kepada Sjafrie menyampaikan India saat ini mengembangkan berbagai teknologi pertahanan dalam negeri untuk mendukung kekuatan Angkatan Laut. Sjafrie pun mengakui teknologi India berkembang pesat.
"Menhan menyadari bahwa teknologi India saat ini sangat berkembang pesat. Oleh karena itu, Menhan menyatakan kegembiraannya dapat bekerja sama dengan India, khususnya dalam bidang pertahanan untuk meningkatkan teknologi dalam negeri Indonesia," kata Kepala Biro Informasi Pertahanan/Humas Setjen Kemhan RI Brigjen TNI Frega F. Wenas Inkiriwang saat dihubungi di Jakarta, Selasa, menjelaskan isi pertemuan Menhan dan Kepala Staf Angkatan Laut India.
Menhan Sjafrie, dalam unggahannya di media sosial pribadinya, menyebut ada beberapa isu yang menjadi sorotan dalam pertemuannya dengan Laksamana Tripathi, di antaranya latihan bersama, pengembangan kapal, dan operasi keamanan maritim gabungan. "Kolaborasi teknologi canggih seperti BrahMos juga menjadi sorotan, sekaligus menjadi peluang bagi Indonesia untuk belajar dan berkembang," tutur Menhan Sjafrie.

• Household debt crisis
As of the end of 2023, Malonn's household debt-to-GDP ratio was 84.2%, with household debt reaching RM1.53 trillion
• Malonn has faced several rice crises in the past, including in 1973–1975, the 1980s, 1997–1998, 2008, and 2023. These crises are often caused by price hikes, which are driven by supply and demand, as well as market player behavior....

The procurement division of the Defence Ministry has issued a tender for the supply, delivery, and commissioning for eight Very Short-Range Air Defence (VSHORAD) ground-based air defence system for the Army. The VSHORAD system is listed as the Army’s main asset and equipment for 2024.
The 23-day tender published on November 20 closes on December 19. As usual the public specifications for the tender are limited.
The indicative cost for the eight VSHORAD system is RM150 million. It is therefore unclear whether the VSHORAD system is meant for the four Starstreak carrier vehicles or Kenderaan Pembawa Misil Starstreak (KPMS) which tender was published last August.
It may well be that the Starstreak LML NG VSHORAD SAM being sought are for the KPMS. And if it’s meant to be for the KPMS it may well be the setting up of a GBAD unit for 1 Division which is based in Kuching, Sarawak. The Fifth Division based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah has a single GBAD unit, 35 RAD (Ad-hoc) which got its Starstreak KPMS, missiles, and launchers from the disbanded RMN GBAD unit.
The other Starstreak unit is 32 RAD which is based at the Terendak camp in Malacca. It is also interesting to note that the 361 Battery of RAD – the GBAD unit- with 10th Para Brigade are still equipped with the Anza Mk2 VSHORAD system procured some 20 years ago. The Thales Starstreak missiles, launchers, vehicles, and a single radar system were procured in 2015.

Malaysia has agreed in principle to purchase medium-range missiles from China, which in return will transfer technology on very short-range air defence to the country, Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak said Tuesday.
The procurement of the surface-to-air missiles was part of the armed forces modernisation program and would be made under the Ninth Malaysia Plan from 2006-2009, he was quoted as saying by Bernama news agency.
This includes provisions for special test facilities, tools, manufacturing process document, training and technical support.
CNPMIEC president Wang Bingyan said China had also offered to conclude the KS-1A transaction on flexible payment terms, including counter-trade, barter and deferred payments.

Jakarta, IDM – Kepala Staf Angkatan Laut (KSAL) Laksamana Muhammad Ali, mengungkapkan rencana TNI AL mengirimkan satuan tugas (satgas) pengadaan kapal patroli multiguna atau Pattugliatore Polivalente d’Altura (PPA) ke Italia, pada awal 2025.
“Mungkin Januari akan kita berangkatkan ke Italia untuk mengawaki kapal PPA,” ungkap Ali kepada awak media saat di dermaga KBT Sunda Kelapa, Jakarta, Selasa (17/12).
Dia menyampaikan harapannya agar unit pertama kapal PPA atau OPV produksi Italia tersebut dapat datang lebih cepat ke Indonesia, pada awal tahun 2025 mendatang.
