Witnessing the First Training Aircraft Manufactured in Vietnam

According to the manufacturer, the TP-150 aircraft is equipped with a 150 horsepower engine, can fly at a speed of nearly 300km/h continuously for 6.5 hours (with auxiliary fuel tanks) and perform complex aerobatic flights, as well as formation flights (photo: QDND)

A special aircraft appeared at the outdoor exhibition area of ​​the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024. It is the TP-150 - the first training aircraft produced in Vietnam.

According to Mr. Tran Hai Dang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Flying Legend Vietnam Company, TP-150 is a primary training and patrol aircraft, used for training military pilots and can be applied in civil aviation.

The aircraft was designed by engineers from Flying Legend Italy. The engines, propellers and electronics are from Western countries. Notably, the rest of the fuselage, wings, landing gear and accessories are manufactured and assembled entirely at Flying Legend Vietnam's factory in Vinh Phuc province. The aircraft meets high technical standards in the aviation industry.

Flying Legend Vietnam's leaders said that this aircraft will mainly be exported to South American, North African and Asia-Pacific markets, mostly used in the air forces of these countries.

“The first "launch" of the TP-150, specifically at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 , demonstrates the company's desire to lay the first brick for Vietnam's aircraft production industry,” Mr. Tran Hai Dang expressed his expectations.
