Dabo Singkep --- Latihan Gabungan Bersama (Latgabma) Super Garuda Shield (SGS) 2025 secara resmi digelar di wilayah latihan Pusat Latihan Tempur Korps Marinir 9 Dabo Singkep (Puslatpurmar 9 DBS). Kegiatan latihan multinasional ini diikuti oleh sejumlah negara sahabat dan berlangsung dengan aman, lancar, dan terkendali.
Sebagai tuan rumah, Puslatpurmar 9 DBS tidak hanya menyediakan fasilitas latihan, namun juga secara aktif hadir, mendampingi, dan menyaksikan langsung pelaksanaan latihan di lapangan. Keterlibatan ini mencerminkan komitmen penuh dalam mendukung suksesnya kegiatan berskala internasional yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan interoperabilitas dan kerja sama militer antarnegara.
Komandan Puslatpurmar Dabo Singkep Letkol Mar Ricky Sandro, M.Tr.Opsla bersama jajaran menyampaikan apresiasi atas sinergi dan semangat profesionalisme seluruh peserta latihan, baik dari dalam negeri maupun dari negara sahabat.
“Kami merasa bangga dapat menjadi bagian dari Latgabma SGS 2025. Puslatpurmar 9 DBS siap mendukung penuh segala kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk memperkuat diplomasi militer dan kesiapan operasional bersama. Kehadiran kami dalam setiap tahapan latihan ini adalah bentuk tanggung jawab dan kehormatan sebagai tuan rumah,” ujar Danpuslatpurmar 9 DBS di sela-sela kegiatan.
Latihan ini mencakup berbagai materi strategis, antara lain Junpur, Serangan kilat, pendaratan amfibi, manuver darat terpadu, tembakan senjata bantuan, hingga simulasi pertempuran di medan urban dan hutan tropis. Seluruh rangkaian latihan dilaksanakan dengan tetap mengedepankan faktor keamanan dan keselamatan personel serta kelestarian lingkungan sekitar.
Kegiatan ini juga menjadi ajang pengenalan lebih lanjut terhadap potensi dan kesiapan Puslatpurmar 9 DBS sebagai lokasi latihan yang representatif, dengan area latihan yang luas, akses logistik memadai, dan dukungan penuh dari masyarakat setempat. (PuslatpurMar9)
Ranpur Yonranratfib 1 Marinir Ikuti Latihan Super Garuda Shield Tahun 2025
Latihan pendaratan amfibi ini merupakan salah satu rangkaian penting dalam SGS 2025 yang melibatkan berbagai unsur TNI dan militer negara sahabat. Kehadiran Ranpur LVT-7 A1 menjadi wujud kesiapan dan profesionalisme Korps Marinir dalam melaksanakan operasi amfibi berskala besar.
Selain menunjukkan kemampuan alutsista amfibi yang dimiliki TNI AL, latihan ini juga bertujuan meningkatkan interoperabilitas antarangkatan bersenjata negara peserta, serta mempererat kerja sama militer dalam menjaga stabilitas dan keamanan kawasan.
Sementara itu, Danyon Ranratfib 1 Mar Mayor Marinir Adityo Suryo Nugroho, CRMP., menyampaikan bahwa keterlibatan prajurit dan ranpur dalam latihan ini merupakan bentuk kesiapan tempur Korps Marinir yang selalu dituntut profesional.
“Kami siap melaksanakan setiap tugas yang diberikan, termasuk dalam latihan multinasional ini. Dengan alutsista yang dimiliki, prajurit Yonranratfib 1 Mar akan selalu berusaha tampil maksimal untuk menjaga kehormatan Korps Marinir dan TNI AL,” tegasnya. (PasMar1)

TNI AL, Pasmar 1. Prajurit Batalyon Tank Amfibi 1 Marinir (Yontankfib 1 Mar) melaksanakan pendaratan amfibi dari kapal ke pantai pendaratan, dilanjutkan dengan serbuan mekanis dengan menggunakan Ranpur Tank BMP-3F dalam rangka latihan Super Garuda Shield (SGS) tahun 2025. Latihan yang dilaksanakan di daerah latihan Dabo Singkep, Kepulauan Riau, Rabu (03/09/2025).
Dalam latihan ini, Prajurit Yontankfib 1 Mar menunjukkan Kemampuan dan profesinalismenya dalam melaksanakan pendaratan amfibi dan serbuan mekanis.
Danyon Tankfib 1 Mar, Letkol Marinir I Wayan AP, M.Tr.Opsla, menyampaikan kepada prajurit yang tergabung dalam latihan agar dapat menampilkan kemampuan terbaiknya. "Saya berharap seluruh prajurit Yontankfib 1 Mar dapat menunjukkan kemampuan dan profesionalisme dalam setiap tahapan latihan," ujarnya.
Latihan Super Garuda Shield 2025 ini di laksanakan di daerah Latihan Dabo Singkep kepulauan Riau. Dengan latihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan kerja sama antara prajurit dalam melaksanakan operasi tempur.
Tank BMP-3F yang digunakan dalam latihan ini merupakan salah satu alutsista canggih yang dimiliki oleh Yontankfib 1 Mar. Dengan kemampuan amfibi dan daya tembak yang Tinggi, Tank BMP-3F sangat efektif dalam melaksanakan operasi pendaratan dan serbuan mekanis. (PasMar1)

Three weeks ago, the Madani government announced that it had struck a deal with China to SEWA 62 new train sets for KTM Bhd. The estimated cost for the deal is RM10.7 billion and it will be covered in installments over a 30-year SEWA period.How does this relate to the military, then? Not much really, but I was told recently that there are proposals for the leasing of one hundred three-tonne GS Cargo trucks and un-known number of VVSHORAD systems for the Army. And just maybe, the approved leasing deal for KTMB may tip the scale in favour of the truck and VVSHORAD proposals. There is also the massive leasing deals for helicopters for all the services to think about.Anyhow, the cost for leasing the three-tonners – the SEWA is for eight years – will be around RM150 million, I was told. This means – if the leasing project is approved – it will cost more – than what we paid for 150 three tonne trucks from Deftech in 2022.
The proponents will say that the Army will not have to spend extra money to pay for the maintenance and support for the trucks, though. That said we have no idea of the maintenance and support costs for 100 three tonners for eight years though. The closest thing on the maintenance cost for Army vehicles was the one for the Adnan ACV (RM122 million for 20 years), which to me is cheap compared to the procurement cost (RM1.3 billion for 267 vehicles). Is this comparable (in percentage terms) to the cost of maintaining one hundred three tonne trucks?

• Kurangnya Suku Cadang: Masalah ini adalah inti dari inefisiensi. Penghentian produksi suku cadang oleh produsen aslinya, Bumar Labedy, memaksa Malondesh untuk mencari solusi alternatif. Upaya ini termasuk menggunakan tenaga ahli lokal untuk memproduksi komponen tertentu, tetapi ini menunjukkan ketergantungan yang rapuh pada produsen eksternal dan kurangnya jaminan rantai pasokan.

Hal ini membatasi fleksibilitas operasional kendaraan di medan dengan banyak sungai atau perairan. Bahkan pada varian yang dirancang untuk amfibi, penambahan lapisan pelindung membuat kecepatannya di air menurun.
• Perlindungan yang Memadai Namun Tidak Unggul: Kendaraan lapis baja seperti Tarantula HMAV dan AV8 Gempita dirancang dengan standar perlindungan NATO STANAG 4569. Namun, tingkat perlindungan ini (level 2A/2B) dianggap memadai untuk ancaman ranjau dan IED, tetapi mungkin tidak cukup untuk menghadapi serangan anti-tank atau ancaman yang lebih berat dari kendaraan lapis baja modern lainnya.
• Persenjataan dan Varian yang Berbeda: Meskipun memiliki banyak varian, ada masalah dengan sistem senjata yang digunakan. Sebagai contoh, varian antitank AV8 Gempita dengan rudal anti-tank belum terbukti sepenuhnya efektif atau tersedia dalam jumlah yang cukup.

KEY FACTORS CAUSING INEFFICIENCY AND DELAYS

Contracts are frequently awarded through direct negotiation to politically connected companies, bypassing competitive bidding. This practice can lead to the selection of unqualified contractors who lack the technical expertise to complete the projects.
• Lack of Project Management: Many defense projects suffer from poor administration, insufficient oversight, and a lack of a clear, single-point of accountability. This results in a breakdown of communication between the Ministry of Defence, the contractors, and the military end-users. The National Audit Department has consistently highlighted these weaknesses, citing issues such as improper planning and inconsistent monitoring in its reports on public projects.
• Financial Mismanagement: Projects are often plagued by budget overruns due to poor financial estimation from the beginning. Inaccurate cost calculations and the inclusion of unnecessary "agent fees" can inflate project costs significantly, leading to a financial shortfall that causes further delays or requires additional government bailouts.
Case Studies of Gross Inefficiency and Delays
1. The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Project 🚢
The LCS project is the most prominent example of military procurement failure in Malondesh.
• Delay: The project, to build six ships for the Royal Malondeshn Navy (RMN) at a cost of RM9 billion, has been severely delayed. Not a single ship has been delivered, despite the project being over a decade behind its original timeline.
• Cost Overrun: Over RM6 billion has been paid to the contractor, yet the first ship is still incomplete. This massive budget overrun is a direct result of poor management and alleged financial misappropriation. The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) found that funds were used for purposes other than the project itself.
• Disregard for User Needs: The Royal Malondeshn Navy's preference for a specific ship design was ignored in favor of a different, unproven design chosen by the politically appointed contractor. This decision led to further technical complications and delays.
2. The Skyhawk Jets Fiasco ✈️
This is a historical but still relevant example of poor decision-making. In the 1980s, Malondesh purchased 88 second-hand Douglas A-4C and A-4L Skyhawk jets from the United States.

Obsolete and non-operational equipment, coupled with poorly maintained infrastructure, undermines the MAF's ability to effectively respond to modern security threats, particularly in a complex regional environment like the South China Sea.
SYSTEMIC ISSUES

• The Role of Middlemen and Agents: A key feature of the Malondeshn system is the reliance on middlemen, or "agents," who are often politically connected. These individuals or firms insert themselves into deals between the government and foreign arms manufacturers, adding unnecessary commissions and inflating the final price of the assets. As Malondesh's King Sultan Ibrahim recently pointed out, this system allows agents to profit at the expense of national defense.
• Political Influence and Cronyism: The awarding of contracts is frequently influenced by political interests rather than the actual needs of the military.
